Cheers erupted and a few people bowed down to me. Shawn stood on a chair and shouted. "Let's go get our princess!"
Genevieve
"Your father didn't even put up a fight" Jacobs scoffed. "After I ripped your mother's heart out, he was just waiting for me to kill him. He practically begged me to"
I yawned. "Is story-time over yet? I'm tired"
Jacobs, Hefner, and Katelyn have been talking to me for at least two hours. They insulted me. They told me about everyone they killed trying to get to me. Now, Jacobs was going on and on about how he killed my parents.
"This isn't working!" Hefner shouted. "That bitch is colder than ice"
"Actually, I'm kinda hot. Do you have like a fan or something?"
Katelyn sighed and threw her hands up. "I'm done. This is getting no where"
I pointed at her with a smile. "That girl is one smart cookie"
Katelyn walked out the room while Jacobs and Hefner rolled their eyes at me. "She doesn't give a shit about what we call her. She doesn't care about her parents' death. There's nothing that gets to her! We haven't hit a nerve!" Hefner said frustrated.
Jacobs gasped. "I know what we can do!" He walked closer to the cage and stared at me.
"Is your plan to be a perv and stare at me all night?" I asked.
"Its like 5 p.m." Hefner stated.
I rolled my eyes. "Well I didn't know that. There's not a clock in this fucking cell"
"There's not a clock in this fucking cell" Hefner childishly mocked me.
"You're an idiot" I stated.
"You're an idi-"
"Would you shut up!" Jacobs cut off his immature Beta.
I laid down on the bed and stared at the ceiling. About an hour ago, water started dripping from the crack. It lands in a small puddle next to my bed. I guess that my cell is under a bathroom. But I'd rather not think about that. That is highly unsanitary.
"What's your mate's name?" Jacobs asked randomly.
"Asher Reed. And he's my ex-mate" I corrected him.
Jacobs dismissed my comment with a wave. "Why isn't Asher here?" He questioned.
I shrugged. "Why don't you go ask him? He's Alpha of the Blue Moon pack" I informed Jacobs.
Jacobs nodded. "I know who he is. Shouldn't he be coming to rescue his precious little mate?"
"He's not my mate!" I shouted. "And he's probably lip-locking with his red-head slut!"
Jacobs shook his head. "Their not lip-locking. They're howling. The Luna ceremony is tonight"
"I'm sure they will be very happy together" Hefner commented.
I looked down at my hands that were in fact touching the bars. The bars that were silver. The bars that should be burning me. "What the hell?" I whispered.
About twenty minutes later, the door opened and the doctor came into the room. "What the hell?" he said as he looked at my hands that clutched the silver bars.
"How is she doing that?" Jacobs asked.
The doctor reached out and touched the bar that I was holding. His finger sizzled and he winced. "The bars should be burning her"
"Is it because she doesn't have emotions?" Hefner asked.
The doctor stared at me and shook his head. "She doesn't have a wolf"
Genevieve
"What are you talking about?" I questioned the doctor.
The doctor took a step away from the cage. "You're wolf, she isn't there"
"How isn't her wolf there? Wolves don't just disappear" Jacobs stated.
"They don't disappear, but they can die" the doctor informed us.
Ingrid died. I didn't feel anything. I should have felt if she died. But I didn't even feel her before she died. I don't even know when she died. My eyes widened. "She died?!" I shouted. "How did she die?!"
"You're mate" Jacobs said. "You survived, but naturally, wolves have a stronger connection with their mates. She died because the connection was stronger to her" he explained.
