"No I'm not! Now get lost."
"Oh god Adrian. You don't know anything about women at all, do you?" He stared at me in disappointment.
"What do you mean by that?" I replied crossing my arms over my chest.
"You don't. I mean all you've done is wham bam, thank you mam." He mumbled. "There's more to woman than that okay. You would know why she said what she said if you knew anything about women." He paused for a second then continued. "Adrian she likes you."
"Yea yea I get it. She likes me. I'm her bro remember?" I replied sarcastically.
"No no. She does like you. Like 'like like' you." Stop it with the likes man. "Adrian why don't you get it. She's scared. She's scared that you'll use her then push her away. You have quite the reputation y'know."
Well he was right about that.
"So what should I do now." Yep, I was desperate. Desperate enough to ask Lucas for help. "I already-" I could not finish my sentence as someone knocked my office door.
"Come in." Guess who entered? Emily. Surprise surprise.
"Good morning Sir." She said while locking eyes with me and gave Lucas a polite nod.
"Morning."
"You have a meeting at four pm. I have scanned all the relevant documents. Here's the hard copy." She said walking towards me, well my desk and placing the copy on it. "And here's your coffee." She said placing it next to the documents. She was so damn composed and acting as if nothing happened.
"Anything else that I can do for you?" Yes, accept my goddamn feelings for you so we can get married and make kids.
I did not just think that.
"Uh yah. I mean no no. I'll let you know through the intercom." With that she left after giving me a smile, leaving me in a daze.
"Man, you're so whipped."
I know.
Emily's POV
Adrian gave me an off at four before heading for his meeting, saying that I wasn't needed anymore. Ouch.
I decided to head home, I got a call from an unknown number as I entered my car.
"Hello?"
"Hey Emily."
"Vincent!" I literally yelled. I didn't see him ever since the auction.
"Yep. The one and only." He chuckled.
"Sup."
"Oh you know. Just wanting to meet up with my favorite cousin. Well not really my cousin since I'm not Sam's actua-"
"Yeah yeah I know! You don't have to tell me that every single time." I let out a laugh as I started driving.
"Okay okay. So when are you free. We need to catch up on a lot of stuff."
"Well lucky for you, I'm free right now. And I was just about to head home."
"Great! Meet you at La'Smore in ten!"
(A/N- I just made this place up ??)
"Hey wait! I'm going to head back home to get dressed first. I'm still in my business attire at the moment. Give me an hour or so." Since I desperately need a shower as well.
"But you'll be you no matter what you wear so screw the clothes. Just meet me there. Honestly I won't even mind you showing up naked. I would actually prefer that."
