Rejected By My Mate And Family novel Chapter 5

After last night, waking up was hard. I headed downstairs after my shower to make breakfast. Surprisingly I found a note by the fridge saying Buenos Días Novio...!no necesitar a hacer desayuno. Eso será ser manejado. ~Luca.

I knew about their plan to make me think that he was my mate but if I were to believe this. I would get into deep trouble.

I toss the note in the bin and start to make breakfast, and as much as I wished I had followed Luca's command. I just couldn't risk it.

Today Luca had literally snapped when he found out that I made breakfast, it made me a bit suspicious of them. The whole joking thing was fun when it lasted but now it's just weird.

Luckily today I was given the day off... I usually get it once a month but this was the second one apart from last week Sunday's rest day.

At 12:00 I decided to go with Nicky to Paolo Dona's ice cream shop. With Roman's coupon.

"So did enjoy the party?" She asks stuffing her mouth with the Sundae she bought.

"If you mean cleaning, cooking and cleaning again. Then yeah I did enjoy it. Although thanks for y'alls help." I say taking a bite of my multiple chocolate ice-cream

"Sorry and your welcome. But any who how was your morning and evening?" She asks

"Uhm, yeah yesterday I received a very weird gift. I got to my room found a bouquet of flowers, chocolates and a dress with some heels-"

"How is that weird?" She asks

"Well you didn't let me finish. So I thought they were from my parents but the letter left with the gifts. It seemed a bit too romantic for my parents to write, it was a poem and something about me supposed to be meeting " I say handing her the letter.

She skims through it and replies "well, you're right there it can't be your parents. But with this love poem I am pretty sure it's your mate!"

"Maybe, but don't you think I would've met him yesterday if it were?" Throwing her a curious look

"Maybe, maybe not but when you go see him/she, you must wear the clothes he bought you" she says.

"Yeah. And I'm pretty positive it has to be a guy. I don't roll that way" I reply dryly

" Plus, the L&N trees are where Nicholas asked Lucia to go for him to reveal himself as her mate, no one has used that place in 32 years because...-usually mates meet at the same time. So if your mate knew you on his birthday he just didn't want to tell you but he waits till your birthday so that he can surprise you" I finish the last part with her.

"So maybe the person that has been treating you kindly for the last 2 weeks before your birthday is your mate" she squeals

"Yeah but, there's a huge BUT Luca's birthday was 5months ago, you can't tell me he has waited that long to tell me and plus my brother said that they were just teasing me about it, just to see if I was head over heels for him like all the other mateless girls" I say.

But hearing myself say that breaks my heart a little. I wanted him to be my mate, after they way he was treating me.

Maybe I need to see a doctor. Why in the world would I want him as a mate. Something is happening to me, I should check if Nicky ain't using her powers on me.

Nicky's power is to make a person feel like they are in love with someone that they hate or distrust.

It's a cool power and it helps a lot. Last year she was able to make a guy who was from a rival pack 'fall in love' with her. Then she used it on the Alpha and some people around, till they got a chance to attack. She is kinda cool, if I have to admit.

After eating a bit, I headed upstairs to take a shower. I did as Nicky said I wore the clothes that he bought me.

When I was about 2 meters away from the tree I saw a dark figure in between the trees.

Mate mate mate!!!!

My wolf Matilda squealed. I started to move a bit faster. Once I saw who my mate was my heart dropped.

Luca's (P.O.V)

I saw Liliana walking towards me wearing the dress I bought her.

I had prepared all her favorite desserts. Everything chocolate, chocolate cake stuffed with chocolate fudge, with chocolate icing covered with chocolate sprinkles and chocolate shavings. Chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate fudge brownies, chocolate slabs, chocolate cookies, chocolate cookies with chocolate chips, chocolate smoothies and some water since this was a lot of sweets.

I had dug some info out of Marco since they are twins and they like the same things.

I wonder how she feels about me, knowing that destiny is never wrong, I hope she tries to see past the last 2-4 years.

How I have never seen this just makes me sick. Her beautiful blue eyes, brown silky hair I just wish I can run my fingers through, and those full lips, I wonder how many moans can escape those lips after every night and day.

To think I used to treat her like a perra just makes me disgusted by myself.

Once she arrives I search her face for any emotions. Her eyes are confusing me they show love, desire, distrust, hatred, confusion and fearfulness.

I take a step forward and she takes one back. So I decide to stop on the spot.

"Hey thanks for coming, take a seat" I say gesturing to the blanket on the grass.

She takes a seat and starts to fiddle with her hair. So I decide to make small talk.

"I got you your favorite kinds of desserts. Everything chocolate" I say taking out the chocolate milkshakes handing one to her.

She takes it and smiles "thanks" she says.

God her voice sounds like an angel's.

I place mine on the side. "How did you know chocolate is my favorite?" She asks taking a sip of her milkshake.

"Well I dug some info out of Marco and since y'all are twins I thought maybe you will like the same plus it's all you wanted to eat since we were kids" I reply taking out the rest of the desserts.

"Well, thank you. It's delicious and you can't blame me." She says in a small voice offering me a smile.

Gosh this is so awkward, I am not used to this usually I just sweet talk girls then break their hearts.

But it ain't so easy since I treated her like a perra all these years. It wasn't like this before we were actually best friends but after the incident things just changed.

"Okay look, Liliana, I am sorry about the way I have treated you for the last 4 years. It's just that after the accident I couldn't handle losing my mother, and I took out all my anger on you. Watching you suffer just brought comfort to me. It wasn't all your fault, I mean even if I was you I wouldn't have known what to do at that time. I am sorry. And if you wanna reject me it's fine I deserve it anyway. I just hope you can forgive me" I say trying to at least try to move past the awkwardness

"No, it's OK, I forgave you a long time ago. I mean it was my fault anyway, I could've tried to help her in any way. But what I don't understand is why you didn't reject me, I mean I was the reason for your mother's death. You should hate me till I die. I do deserve to suffer and I don't blame you. Anyway I can handle the rejection since I could do so from the last four years." She says taking a slice from the cake.

Stress eater, it was her habit. Or still is.

"You know what, let's change the topic. So did you enjoy the chocolates?" I said.

I know it's stupid but what else can I say since I can't ask her about her day since I tortured her for the last four years.

"Uhm yeah" she says licking her lips right after.

She grabs my hand and twirls me with her.

I twirl her in to my hands then grab her and kiss her.

This time she kisses me back, she places her hand around my neck and begins to play with my hair.

I take it was a chance to deepen the kiss and Godess she tastes like strawberries.

She does the same and explores my mouth with her tongue. A groan escapes my throat then we pull back to catch our breaths.

She stands to my side and we head towards the pack house hand in hand.

It was late 10 so everyone is probably asleep.

I accompany her to her 'room'. Only now I see how it looks you can't actually call it a room if it only has a bed with a closet including a drawer.

I wonder how she survived 4 years her. She is a survivor.

I kiss her temple and wishes her a good night.

Lili's (P.O.V)

As soon as the door closes I jump on my bed and my muffle my screams with a pillow.

I never knew there was such a romantic side to Luca.

I didn't think he would even remember anything from our childhood, especially if it included me.

Before I could change into my pajamas I see a note on my bed.
