Faylin initially couldn't believe Sebastian's words. But she quickly put on her clothes when she realized that she could now use her cultivation.

"Let's go." Once she had finished dressing, he opened the stone door and stepped out.

She hurried after him. Her eyes glinted with cold resolve as a sharp dagger materialized in her hand, seemingly out of nowhere.

Sebastian didn't activate his spiritual senses, so he was unaware of Faylin's intention.

She tightened her grip on the dagger and wanted to sneak attack and kill him to take revenge. But as she prepared to attack, she noticed the bodies of the pirates lying on the ground.

What happened? Did the pirates turn on each other?

As Faylin hesitated, Sebastian was already near the end of the passage. She knew that once they passed through, they would enter a hall filled with pirates. By then, getting a chance to kill him would be much harder.

So, she dashed toward him with her dagger raised and aimed to stab him in the back. But then she saw two more pirate corpses. Her resolve wavered, and she lowered her weapon.

Faylin's mind raced with questions. Could the man who took advantage of her wasn't a pirate? Had Sebastian come to rescue her instead?

With doubts swirling in her head, she followed him out of the passage. But she was stunned when she saw the hall littered with pirate corpses.

Besides them, there wasn't a single living soul in the hall, and corpses were scattered everywhere. To her surprise, Squalus and Walric were among the dead.

"Did you kill all these people?" Faylin couldn't resist asking.

Sebastian nodded.

"Are you seriously not a pirate?" she asked again.

"No."

"You're not allowed to talk about this to anyone," she said firmly.

He nodded again and walked out.

Faylin hurried after Sebastian because she knew there were many pirates around.

When she had sailed near Squalus Isle, her ship had been attacked by hundreds of pirates. Her entire crew was killed, and she was forced to jump into the water. She hadn't expected to be spotted as soon as she came ashore.

Sebastian went to the bush and retrieved his hidden satchel containing the pills he had painstakingly refined.

Faylin looked at his satchel in surprise, then glanced at the silver ring on her finger and contemplated.

He eventually returned to where he had left Fressia but found she was missing. Could the pirates have captured her?
