"Here, take this," she said, tossing him a ring.

Sebastian caught the ring and looked at it. It was a silver-white band with a simple design and intricate carvings.

He glanced at her fingers and saw that the ring she had been wearing was now gone. It was clear that the ring he held was hers.

He tried to probe the ring with his spiritual senses but couldn't penetrate its surface. This was a clear sign that the ring was more than it appeared. He spent a long time figuring out how to use it, but the mechanism remained a mystery.
