Chapter 798 Lilian’s Cooperation

George sat down at the desk, a triumphant smile on his lips. “Ms. Lilian certainly understands the situation; you are much more sensible than your Master. In that case, I won’t stand on ceremony.”

He then pulled a file from the documents nearby and handed it to Lilian. “This is a project I have been working on. Unfortunately, progress has been slow, so I will rely on Ms. Lilian for the rest.”

Lilian took the file and scanned the information inside. She was shocked. “You are researching drugs that control the human brain’s nervous system?”

George smiled. “Why? Is there a problem? Don’t you think this is a marvelous study? Once it’s successful, our Mildew family will be unrivaled in all of Radovia.”

Lilian looked at George and said coldly, “But your experiment is illegal.”

“Illegal?” George laughed loudly. “The young woman is still too naïve. Laws are made for lesser people. Do you think the Mildew family fears such things? Once the experiment succeeds, the entire country of Radovia will answer to the Mildew family.”

Lilian looked at George’s crazed expression. “Is Nicholas one of Mr. Mildew’s people?”

The expression on George’s face froze for a moment. He then looked at Lilian. “How did you know?”

Lilian said calmly, “I only suspected it before, but after seeing your file, I am completely sure my guess was correct. Nicholas was also researching this project, as was Renee. So, they were both working for you.”

George smiled coldly. “I didn’t expect Ms. Lilian to be so clever. A small file is enough for you to deduce so much. That’s right, they were both working for me. Unfortunately, their research results were thoroughly unsatisfactory. What angers me most is that Nicholas, that idiot, has disappeared, and all his latest research data vanished without a trace, causing me enormous losses. I’ve been forced to restart the research.”

The thought of the missing Nicholas made George grit his teeth. If not for the unforeseen incident, the experiment would have likely been successful very soon. Yet, at the critical moment, that fool disappeared, and his base was even blown up, which still made George furious.

Lilian took a deep breath. “Fine, I will help you with the research.”

George smiled smugly. “That’s right. I believe Ms. Lilian is a smart person and certainly won’t disappoint me. I’ll be waiting for your good news.” He then instructed the man in black beside him, “Take Ms. Lilian to the laboratory.”

The man in black respectfully said, “Yes.”
