My breathing was very heavy, but I would not give up. I might love him, but he needed to calm down and talk to me. Suddenly, he moved closer, his lips inches from mine. His hot breath on my half-opened mouth was driving me crazy. If I had only one desire to fulfill myself right now, it was definitely his passionate kiss. I needed his lips on mine again, badly. As if reading my mind, he captured my mouth with his in a kiss so different from the first and certainly the last in the shower. This one was neither longing nor with jealousy, but it had pain in it. Like he was afraid of losing me.

I had to reassure him I wasn't going anywhere, so I slipped my hand behind his head, grabbing his hair, pulling him closer. It must have triggered something in him, because his response was almost beastly and desperate. His kiss deepened in my mouth, his tongue playing frantically with mine. I let myself go and responded with the same eagerness he did. I felt all his hard places through my dress. It was crazy. I arched along his hard body, breathing him in through all my pores, letting his hands slide inside, grabbing and exposing my breasts. I let out a deep moan, pushing myself harder against him. Then he crashed the kiss and put a finger on my lips, motioning for me to be quiet. "Someone might hear us!" he whispered in a jerky voice.

"Since when do you care about this?"

"You are right, I don't!"

With his last words, he lifted me up, my legs wrapping around his waist, touching in a spot that woke me up completely in a second. He was so hard that I was sure this time he had neither the will nor the strength to stop in time. And, to be honest, I didn't want him to stop. Making his way to the desk, he threw everything aside as he climbed me onto the table. I flexed my legs, inviting him between my tights. We separated for a moment, just looking into each other's eyes.

The same look full of desire and excitement, the same heaving breaths and the same lust consuming us both. I felt his hard penis through my lace panties and my moans this time were long and pleading. I bit my bottom lip, tempting him to kiss me again. He did, but now he was offering me love and gentleness. It felt like a farewell kiss, and it actually was. At that moment, he pulled away from me but helped me to my feet. He then arranged my messy hair and covered my cheeks. With a deep, sad look, he assured me. "I love you, Rebecca, but not like this! You deserve so much more than that!"

I should have said, I love you too, because I felt that, but the words stuck in my throat. They wouldn't come out. I stared into his eyes, wondering why this moment stopped until it hit me. Dominic loved me, he wanted the best for me, wanted me, but not in a cold little place on a desk in an office. He craved me, I could see it in his eyes and actions. And the most important thing was that I loved him too. This time I had no doubt about it.

I WAS GOING MAD

Dominic's story

I rushed out of the office, cursing my vulnerability in front of her. I wished everything had taken a different turn, and I felt in my whole body she sensed the same. There was nothing left for me to do but go back to Declan. He was still where I left him, at the bar.

"Oh my God, man, you really look bad," he said immediately when he saw me so devastated. I stared at him for a few seconds.

"So, you're not giving up. You're still hoping."

"I can't give up. And it's not hope, Declan. I feel she' s very close to giving herself to me."

"Okay, then you can just go somewhere else and suffer. Here, my dear friend, I'm trying to make some connections with a few ladies."

"Are you for real now?" But the look in his eyes convinced me he was telling the truth. So, I threw my hands in the air and walked away.

Is this what suffering felt like? Because if it was, I could feel it choking me. I was so close to her and yet so far away. Nothing I felt could bring me anywhere near her.
