I was trailing fire everywhere. I kissed her and she reacted and responded with even greater eagerness.

"Dominic..." Hearing her voice pleading louder made me so hard that I pushed myself hard to tear the fine silk of her underwear. But I delayed the moment and just rubbed almost uncontrollably until her moans became jerky and increasingly close to my ear. "Dominic, please…" she screamed my name again helplessly, begging, digging her nails into my back.

With an almost desperate gesture, I tore off her underwear and greedily plunged deep inside her again and again. With so much thirst and craving until I felt her trembling in my arms, resting her weight on me.

We barely contained our longing for each other and laid exhausted on the living room floor. Her eyes glowed with love and her lips were puffy and red from my kisses and bites. But still not that bite.

"Please don't do something stupid!" I heard myself say. Her face went from that immense joy to a grimace demanding an explanation.

"What exactly did you have on your mind?" she asked me, though I was sure she knew precisely what I meant.

"You know very well what I mean. Zack is dangerous..."

"I thought we'd ended the subject, Zack," she returned my answer, a little angry.

"Unfortunately, as long as he is alive, it will never end. We won't have peace. But neither will I until I make him disappear once and for all."

A few seconds of silence followed, during which Rebecca snuggled against my chest, still savoring what had happened between us. The smell of her fresh vanilla intoxicated me, but I refrained from having her again. In fact, I didn't know how much longer I could keep myself from marking her. Maybe it was time to open the subject. "Rebecca?" I started with a low, muffled voice.

"What is it?" I heard her whisper while still holding her face close to my chest. Every breath she took broke through all barriers and reached into my soul.

"Unfortunately, there was no other way. It is going to sound awful now but my luck was that you fainted so I could kill them at will"

"Oh well, it's been a long time since then. Looking back, I might have been scared, but I probably would have eventually realized you were there to help me. And lucky you had a friend like Declan, because I guess he was the first person you called."

"That's right, it was him. In fact, he was the first to know who I actually am, then found out and my agent. I couldn't take you to a state hospital because your injuries were way too weird for a normal medical facility. If the doctors there had seen you, they would have asked a lot of questions. So, I called Declan, and that's how you ended up in his private clinic. Nobody asked questions here. They were all under his orders."

"What's the deal with... marking? And what role does Luna play in a pack? And most importantly, where is the pack?" I was really dreading when she started asking these questions. But if I was going to be truthful, I might as well come clean.

"Ok let's take them one at a time... the pack. Well, as you probably noticed, there is no pack, because I am a rogue, as they say. When my father was Alpha, the pack was very well developed. We even have a name. Red Moon Pack. He probably always dreamed of me remaining in charge of it, even though I was only human at that point. And, of course, despite the beliefs my mother held. You know my mother never agreed to this transformation, but she had no choice. It was either the wolf or death. But you already know that story. As my transformation occurred at a very young age, my father remained for many years at the head of the pack. Then between a confrontation with Zack. he killed them without mercy. That's when I realized I was alone. Jane was dead, my mother and father were dead, Jane's mother I knew was dead. I had almost reached adulthood, but the rage of what had happened would not allow me to see beyond what I had been given. The werewolves in the pack were for a time confused and expected me to take the reins. But I let them down."
