Summary of Chapter 17 – A pivotal chapter in Sinful by Natashah

The chapter Chapter 17 is one of the most intense moments in Sinful, written by Natashah. With signature elements of the Internet genre, this part of the story reveals deep conflicts, shocking revelations, and decisive character changes. A must-read for anyone following the narrative.

You know the chills you get when you feel like someone somewhere is watching you? That's what I was feeling as I ate my food. I turned to look around me, hoping I'd see a random child looking at me or something; I didn't see anyone.

"What's wrong?" Noah asked me, I smiled at him and shook my head. It was probable nothing, and I didn't want Noah to make a big deal out of it.

"You sure?" He asked me, looking around too like he knew I was looking for someone.

"Yeah, it's nothing," I told him.

"Is it Antonio? Is he following you?" He asked and I laughed.

"Oh no, I thought I heard someone call my name" I told him, hoping he'd dismiss the topic; he did, I guess he got the message.

Noah was really caring, way more than Antonio ever was or will be, and I hated the fact that I always tried to compare them, but I just couldn't help it. Noah didn't deserve that, not in a million years. I'm sure if I was here with Antonio and he saw me looking around, he'd face his food like nothing is going on.

I faced my food, trying to remove the paranoia from my mind, but it wasn't working; something was off, I was being watched. Why would anyone want to watch me? I didn't live a flashy lifestyle, neither do I have any problem with anyone (except Anabeth; she's disgusting), so I didn't get why someone would watch me.

By now, I had lost my appetite; I hated the way I was feeling. I was scared because I kept feeling that way, even as I got home; I felt like I was being followed. I grabbed my phone and opened the WhatsApp app, to call the only man that truly mattered to me; my father; he picked on the first ring.

"This one you called me today, hope all is well o" he said and I smiled.

"I've missed you that's why. I called you on WhatsApp so you'll not complain about the call being expensive" I told him and he laughed.

"You this girl! You think the money for data is not expensive?" He joked and I laughed. I really missed the old man, he was all alone back at home; no wife, no child. Losing my mom was, and will continue to be the hardest thing I've ever experienced. My father was my mom, dad, sibling and even best friend; he did all he could to make sure I stayed happy, and for that alone, I love him even more.

"Are you still lonely?" I asked him and he nodded.

"I've told you to stop disturbing me with that "get married" thing! It's not by force" he yelled playfully and I nodded.

"I only want the best for you" I told him and he smiled.

"You better start thinking of how to bring your husband for introductions! You're not getting any younger" he said and I rolled my eyes.

"I told you I don't like that topic" I whined.

"I only want the best for you too" he told me and I laughed. He only brought it up because he knew I didn't like talking about marriage. As it was, I couldn't even get into a successful relationship, talk more of marriage. It was almost impossible, but my dad didn't need to know that.

"I have to go now, I'll call you often," my dad said and hung up. Just great!

"No it's not what you're thinking" Noah quickly tried to defend himself. What did he think I was thinking? "I never said I was thinking anything, I simply asked what's up" I told him.

"Well, I saw him today, at work" he said

"I'm lost," I told him.

"He was at the company I work at, today, I didn't think too much about it because I thought he knew my boss, but apparently, he's my boss's boss" Noah explained.

Noah was working at a multi-billion dollar company that made spare parts of ships and cars and a whole lot of things; so saying Antonio is his boss's boss, meant that Antonio was the... CEO??

"Are you sure he's the one? I mean you only saw him once right?" I asked and he let out a small sound that sounded like "yeah,"

"You're right, it's probably nothing," he added.

"Do you have plans for dinner?" He changed the topic immediately. All my mind was on what he just said about Antonio; I mean I know he was a very successful photographer because he had studios almost everywhere, according to what Aaliyah told me, but exactly how rich was Antonio??

Hi, I'm really sorry for the slow updates. I'll try to do better. Natashah.
