"Mia, you're finally back! You need to have a word with Andre. Henry has been fighting with him and hasn't eaten a single bite all night," Hansen immediately complained as she walked in. "We all tried to coax the boy, but Andre wouldn't let us indulge him. He's just a growing kid with a big appetite! Is he seriously going to let the child starve?"

Henry held onto his mother's hand, looking up at his doting grandfather. He knew he was the beloved treasure of the entire family and that they all adored him.

Mia felt a bit helpless. When it came to parenting, they could occasionally play good cop, bad cop, but there were times when they had to present a united front. "Hansen, I already tried talking to him on the way home. Andre is putting his foot down. He wants to cure Henry of this stubborn attitude."

That night, the little boy really did go to sleep on an empty stomach, refusing to cave in.

Andre tossed and turned in bed, unable to settle down. Eventually, Mia got up, went to the nursery, and carried their chubby little boy back to the master bedroom, tucking him between them. "There, honey. Now you can sleep in peace."

Henry settled in, rolling over to snuggle right into his father's chest.

The next morning, Henry was practically standing on his chair to eat. His small hands gripped a sandwich bigger than his own face as he took massive bites.

When he got to school, Henry learned that winter break was fast approaching. Since his mother was a college student, he had a much better understanding of what a 'vacation' meant compared to the other kids.

Instead of eating lunch, he ran over to his African classmate and asked, "Do you have diamonds at your house?"

He had only asked a simple question without lifting a finger, but the classmate was so terrified that he stood in the middle of the cafeteria and burst into loud sobs.

"Stop crying! I didn't even bully you!" Henry was exasperated. He was the most adorable little angel at home, so why was everyone at school so afraid of him?

Swift hurried over, using a mix of hand gestures and words to ask Henry, "What happened?"

Henry was completely bewildered. He hadn't done anything besides ask a question. Since he didn't know the English word for 'diamond,' he had even gone out of his way to use the word 'bling-bling' instead.

The preschool teacher had to rush over once again to act as a translator for the kids in her class.

After hearing about his nephew's tragic fate at home, he reassured him, "Henry, once I publish this paper, I'm heading home. I'll be back next week at the earliest."

When his uncle finally returned, the heavy burden of dropping off and picking up Henry every day fell squarely on Cooper's shoulders.
