"Anya, how are things going at work?" Milka asked the girl, who was busy taking photos.

Anya's scarf was embroidered with little white bears. The pristine white of the scarf, the vibrant red of the candied fruit, and her bare, natural face glowing in the winter snow made for a picturesque scene. Jade couldn't resist pulling out her phone to snap a few photos of the sweet, innocent-looking girl.

Hearing the question, Anya immediately looked over. When she spoke, she sounded as naïve as ever. "Oh, everything is great at my company, Milka. Don't worry about me."

Milka probed further. "How does Janice treat you?"

"Janice is great! She even took me with her to catch her cheating husband."

All the women instantly froze in their tracks and stared at her. "You? Accompanied your boss? To catch a cheater?"

Anya puffed her cheeks, blinked innocently, and nodded. "Yeah. Janice asked me to come. She told me to record a video while she barged in to catch him. So, I went."

Milka's jaw dropped. "Did you... catch him?"

This was classic Anya. She was so simple and innocent, yet she would quietly do the most unhinged things, leaving everyone in a state of absolute shock.

While the adults processed this, the toddlers were hopelessly confused. "Mommy, what's a cheater?"

Mia gently shook her son's hand. "Hush, kids shouldn't ask questions like that."

They all turned their attention back to Anya. She shook her head, looking slightly disappointed. "No. We opened the hotel room door, and it wasn't her husband in the bed."

Molly nodded thoughtfully. "Mia, in a corporate environment, that's exactly what people would think. Anya is gorgeous, and her designer accessories cost way more than her salary. It's bound to raise suspicion."

If her family was genuinely wealthy, there was no way they'd let her work as a lowly assistant at a small company. By that logic, the money had to be coming from an older, wealthier man. Ergo, a sugar daddy.

Milka frowned. "Has Leo ever picked you up from work?"

"He did. Then the whole office found out my boyfriend runs his own company. This one coworker, Patty, started making snide remarks every day, mockingly calling me 'the boss's wife.' It was super uncomfortable, and it felt like she was trying to undermine Janice. I finally snapped and got into a huge fight with her. She hasn't dared mess with me since."

Molly leaned in, fully invested. "Did you win the argument?"
