Atlas looked at me intently, his eyes were staring at me in disbelief. He grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him. "Don't bullshit me, Olive."

I counted from one to ten. I waited for Atlas to let go of me, but it didn't happen. He even gripped at my arm tighter.

"I don't know what you're saying, Atlas. If there's anything bullshit here, that's probably your mistress and not me." I abruptly pulled my arm from his hold. I blinked a few times before I entered our house, taking off my heels and throwing it somewhere.

"Olive!" Atlas called.

"What?!" I turned to him.

"Are you fighting, my children?"

My body froze and turned to where the voice came from. I immediately saw a not-so-old lady. She was wearing an apron while walking out from the kitchen.

"How are you, Olive? You looked even more beautiful," she said.

Atlas' mom hugged me. I hugged her back despite being stunned. My eyes looked at Atlas. I am confused. My face contorted into a frown. She doesn't visit here often, and if she does, she would always call me first.

"M-Mom, how are you?" I finally voiced out.

She removed herself from the hug and smiled at me. She then held my hand and stared at me. I did the same. Atlas' mom screams about life in the province. She's a bit dark-skinned due to being bathed by the sun everyday and her face was already wrinkled from too much work.

"I'm fine, my dear. Atlas called me the other day, saying that I should visit the both of you." She glanced at Atlas. "Check the kitchen, hurry up!" she commanded.

"Hon, just go." I laughed although it's fake. I saw how Atals quickly moved to obey his mother's order. He portrays a good boy for his mother, same goes with me. We acted as a loving couple everytime his mother was with us. We could even surpass the best actors and actresses whenever we're with his parents.

I sighed and placed my arm around her shoulder. Except for Dad, we also deceive a lot more, especially the people who are close to us. People who expect a happy family for us-which is, unfortunately, the complete opposite of what we are.

"You woke up earlier than me. Why are you cooking? Where's Atlas?"

From preparing the table, I turned my gaze to my back. I saw my mother-in-law's forehead wrinkled. Her ash-colored hair was still wet, a sign that she just finished taking a bath. She was wearing leggings and a cotton long sleeve top. Atlas' mother was a bit voluptuous, but it's not that noticeable due to her tall height.

"He's still sleeping," I answered while smiling.

"You probably tired him last night," she cryptically said with a playful glint in her eyes.

I cleared my throat from what she said and got back to what I was doing. I only shook my head. Until now, I'm still not comfortable talking about those kinds of things. We're not even like that. Atlas can just claim me anytime he wants but not when I want to.

I don't have problems with that. I am a woman in need but not to the extent of seducing him or doing it with another man. I respect myself and the people surrounding me. I may not be perfect, but I won't let myself ruin me.

"I want to have a grandchild already, Olive. When will you give me one? Maybe when I die, that's when the both of you decide to bear a child. It's a big waste for me!"
