Some of my hair got into her face, so I pushed it away. "Your hair is long Light. You think you could cut it." Lilly said to me. "Lilly that was really rude." Star said giving Lilly a look. "It's alright Star. She's right. I need a hair cut. I'll be upstairs. Also tell everyone to get ready to leave. I already told Marissa to, but it doesn't look like it. Please tell them." She nodded and I left.
As I entered my room I quickly went to the bathroom. I looked in the cabinets looking for a pair of scissors. I found a pair behind some pain killers. I looked at my long brown reddish that was to my shoulders. I grabbed a chuck of hair and cut it off. Hair fell to the floor and I was shocked that I was doing this. I cut some more hair till I looked at myself in the mirror closely. I had long bangs and on my left side of my head has long hair to my neck. (Look it up on Lightnings hair from Final Fantasy XIII-2. It will show it. Just think of Lightning with brown hair.)
I walked out of my room and went back outside to see everyone ready. Everyone looked at me and their eyes were wide. "Wow Lightning. Love your hair." Zach said coming to my side. He kissed my forehead as I wrapped my arms around him. Sometimes I think he isn't my mate though, I feel some sparks, but I don't feel them every time I touch him. Like right now. I looked up at him to see his brown eyes staring right at me with emotion in them.
I let go and walked down the steps to John. "Are you ready Alpha." I said to him. He nodded. "I'm always ready for something. The question is are you ready?" He said to me. I just realized I was the same height as him as I looked right into his eyes. I looked down at myself. Am I ready or am I not, but I know I am ready for anything. "Yes. Yes I am." I said knowing it's true. "Alright let's head out." I looked at everyone, but stopped at Janet who looked afraid.
I walked to her and she calmed down a bit. "Are you ready?" She nodded slowly. "Let's go." I was about to turn into my bear, but stopped when I looked at Lilly. I looked at Star with a confused look. She gave me a sad smile, but I didn't return it. Lilly should be with the other kids. I know they were training early, but she just can't go with us. I walked to her and knelt down. "I'm sorry Lilly. You can't come." She looked at me as I said those words.
I turn back into my bear and Lilly got back on. We started running again till we made it to the spot where me and Marcus met in my dreams. Lilly got off and I quickly turn back. "Lilly. Stay in this tree. Until someone comes back. Understand. Here." I opened my hand to see my dagger in my hand. I handed it to her. "In case you didn't get a good shot of your powers." She nodded and climbed up the tree.
"I thought you were the only one to hold it Lightning." Daniel said. "Well, let's just say I put a spell on it so she is the only one to hold it." They nodded and we walked through the trees to see Marcus holding a sword of his own.
