A lion came to me and sat down. I think his name was King. I just nodded at him as he did the same. "You think Lightning is ok?" I asked the lion, but the lion just shook his head. Like he doesn't know. Some of Lightning's animals were still alive. A Hippo was alive, King was alive, one of the hyenas were also alive, even a crocodile was alive. The anaconda is dead even the goat was ripped to pieces. A polar bear was hurt, but is alive, also Lightning's wolf which was an Alpha and that wolf died.
We all ran home and got dressed, then came back with our trucks. We all cleaned the mess that we made and burned the hunters bodies, but the whole time I was thinking about Lightning. Where is she? Is she dead? No. Don't think that.
Right now we were loading Elmo's body and Janet's body also her parents in the back of the truck. Snow started to fall and it was about 8
50pm at night and it's almost January. New Years day is the worst day of your life. A new year to begin life. I shook my head as I pulled my jacket closer to me.
We arrived at Dr. Caleb's cabin and we set up tables for the ones that died. Dad said a few words to Dr. Caleb as I look at the dead bodies in front of me. Why? Why can't everyone survive this war? I punched my hand into the wall as dad came running into the room. "ZACH. Zach I know you lost one of your friends, but that doesn't mean to destroy Dr. Caleb's house." I knew he was right, but I wish it wasn't. I sighed and nodded. I walked out of Dr. Caleb's cabin and into the truck.
Soon dad came back and we went home. "You think Lightning is ok?" I asked dad. "I don't know son, but she can handled herself." I just nodded and when I got home I just went up stairs to sleep. Everyone was down stairs celebrating that we won the war. As I got in bed, I thought of Lightning. 'I hope you are alright Lightning.' I said in my mind, then went to sleep.
Lightning's POV
In her sleep.
Where am I?
Am I dead?
No, please no.
I haven't even get to say goodbye to someone.
Please Etro. Let me live. I'm scared. I'm alone...forever.
'Your never alone.' A voice said.
I tried remembering the past events, but nothing came up. "Why can't I remember anything?" I asked her.
"When we were done with the surgery. The doctor said that you may lose some of your memory, but don't worry I can fix that." I just nodded at her.
Right now I got a good look of where I am. I was in a room with golden walls, with tiny blue diamond shapes everywhere on the wall. The bed I was on was white and I mean really white. I looked down at myself seeing that I was still wearing my warrior outfit.
"Are you ready?" She asked and I nodded. "When you get your memory back. Your not going to like it." I just nodded as she put her hand to my forehead. I closed my eyes, then my memory came back all at once. I remembered having a battle with my own uncle, blood everywhere, and Elmo dying. I didn't realize that I was crying till Etro wiped them away with a white cloth. "Elmo died. My friend and I didn't get to save him." I said feeling horrible.
"It isn't your fault. It was meant to happen." She said sitting next to me on the bed. I just laid there feeling like the stupidest person in the world. "Your not stupid Lightning. It was meant to happen." I looked at her.
"You knew it was going to happen?" I asked and she nodded. "I knew from the beginning." She said with sadness. "I thought you said Zach was going to die." I asked. "He was supposed to, but Elmo did a brave thing. He stepped in front of Zach before Marcus could get to him." Marcus. "Where is Marcus anyway?" I asked.
