His mood noticeably changed. He looked sad now, and scared. I had to tell my father about this, it seemed as if both Layla and Ben was scared to return home. At the store the other day, it was the same way.

"Oh.."

"You guys can come hang out with me for a while if you both want to?" I said, as we all piled into my black Camaro.

"Yeah! Sissy, can we? Pwease?!" He asked, or more like yelled, as he buckled up his seat belt with some fumbling, but eventually managing to get it.

"Benny, I don't know. I-I'm not sure if we can." She replied, buckling herself.

I started speaking again, "I don't mind, you don't have to stay long, if you don't want. Or if you don't want to at all that's totally fine. I mean, it is your decision, so don't worry about it. It's fine if you don't want to." I trailed off, realizing I was just blabbing. I was nervous that she wouldn't want to. A blush crept up my neck as she smiled at my rambling.

"Well I g-guess a few minutes won't hurt." I smiled at that and buckled myself, then started driving to my house. I mind-linked my dad to tell him that he can finally meet my mate and that she was a little jumpy around random people still, so he should be careful of that. I also told him her brother was with us too.

He just replied with an excited sounding "Ok."

Pulling into my driveway a few minutes later, we all got out of my car and started walking towards the door. After a second I realized I was the only one walking, so I looked back and saw both Layla and Ben looking at the house in shock.

Layla muttered, "It's beautiful."

"Thanks, but just wait until you see the inside." I smirked a little, then went and softly grabbed her hand.

Pulling her through the doors, with Ben next to her, she gasped when we got in and said the same thing. This time, shock was written in her words as she spoke them. Ben also managed to get a "Woah" out.

I smiled, and pulled them into the kitchen, knowing my dad would be there. I cleared my throat, and said, "Hey dad, this is my friend Layla and her little brother Ben."

He turned around and a smile completely lit up his face. I haven't really seen him smile that big in a year or so. "Well hi guys. I'm this knuckleheads dad. But you can just call me Darren. I'm not old enough for the Mr. yet."

Layla chuckled at that, while Ben chuckled when dad called me a knucklehead.

"Hi, i-it's nice to meet y-you." My dad smiled when she said this, and Smiled down at Ben too, when he hid behind Layla a bit.

"Okay, dad, we're gonna go hang out for a few minutes before they have to leave."

"Okay, please be careful."

"We will." She breathed out, softly. Her features were so soft looking and she looked fragile and afraid.

I bent down and pecked her cheek. I saw a deep blush take over her features. "I mean it, please be careful."

She looked taken aback. "I- We will. I promise."

I walked her and Ben to the door and Ben said goodbye to me, saying he would see me tomorrow. He's so cute.

When I made sure Layla reached the sidewalk safely and saw that she was safe after walking a few houses down, I went back inside and up to my room, smiling like an idiot in love.

It's been about two weeks since we've been here and honestly, i don't hate it like I normally hate the places we move to.

I've made some friends that I'm finally starting to get comfortable around and Ben has made a friend too. Ben and Logan are like two peas in a pod. After the second day here, Ben has been more open and has non-stop talked about his new bestfriend. I'm really happy that Ben has a distraction from everything that's going on at home.
