"Please don't start stuttering now. I've finally broken that shell of yours and I don't want you to crawl back in there like a little turtle. And of course I like you. I can't get you out of my head." He smiled a little, his dimples showing slightly.
"I-I like you too. Oh my gosh, I like you too." I smiled, and big.
His smile deepened, those dimples that I love coming out fully. "Really?" I only nodded, shocked that someone as fine and wonderful as him would like me.
I completely froze as he turned his body, cupped my cheek, tilting my head up to his, and pressed his firm lips to mine. I let my eyes drift shut as I was lost in this moment, not wanting it to end. This was perfect, absolutely amazing. Everything I could want my first kiss to be. And more. The only flaw was when he cupped both cheeks in his warm hands and pressed his lips harder to mine. When he pressed his delectable lips to mine harder, his grip was made harder, causing him to press on my badly bruised cheek and make me flinch.
He quickly pulled away and started apologizing. "I'm sorry! Did i hurt you? I should've asked first, oh my gosh. I'm an idiot, what did I do?" He was rambling on and on, beating himself up about my small action. I stopped him by leaning in and pressing my lips to his softly and pulling back a moment later. That shut him up.
"I'm fine. It's nothing you did. That was perfect." I smiled up at him while he smiled downat me, those adorable dimples still showing.
He sighed and ran his hand through my hair. "So will you be mine? Like officially?"
I didn't really know what to say. How would Marcus react to this? He won't. He won't find out. I won't let him ruin this one thing for me like he does everything else. "Of course I will."
He pressed his lips to mine again and pulled back, still running his hands through my hair. We sat like that for a while, just in each others embrace, enjoying each others company with my eyes closed and our foreheads pressed against each others. He pulled my hair behind my ear and my eyes flew open as I heard him curse."Holy shit Layla, what happened?"
Only then did I realize he pulled back my hair on the side where I had the purple-black bruise. He had some of my makeup on his palm, I realized, that must've rubbed off when we were kissing earlier.
"Uhh, I have to go." I quickly hopped off the bed and went to get Ben. I stopped when I heard Jordi's voice call for me to wait. "Yeah...?"
"Calm down, son. Alex is pushing. Calm down before you shift right here. All I am trying to say is that she is a human. It could be from anything. Remember, she doesn't heal like us, of course it's going to be bad if it was recent." He had a small point, but I just couldn't get it out of my mind that something was wrong with this whole situation. Alex was pacing back and forth, trying to get out.
"I'm going for a run."
I faintly heard my dad yell for me to be careful and not to do aything stupid. As soon as I stepped foot outside, I shifted.
Tattered clothing littered the grassy ground where I stood just moments ago. I let Alex take over, then I felt the wind rushing past my fur as we rushed into the night. The rush calmed me.
Coming up to a clearing, I shifted back, heading to a tree to grab a pair of shorts from the hollowed inside. Slipping them over my hips, I sat down on a rock that overlooked a small lake with a garden around a potion of the edge.
