I wrote back, 'Wow. Well, okay. But don't be angry at yourself. There's really no way you could've known. But why did you react so strongly? I mean, we've only known each other for about a month now, and have been dating for a week and a half or so.'

This is when he started to look nervous. "Well, I actually have to tell you something. I want to tell you both something." He spoke, motioning to me and to Ben.

I wrote down a quick okay.

Jordi started to speak softly in Ben's ear, trying to wake him up. After a few seconds, he started to wake. Ben looked over to me with sleepy eyes and immediately perked up, sleep vanishing from his features. "Sissy!" He yelled.

I spoke as best I could, "Hey bud." I smiled too.

"I missed you." He said, nuzzling into Jordi's shirt. It was so cute to watch. It seems as if he felt one hundred percent safe with him, just like me.

"Okay so I have to tell you guys something. It's pretty big and-" Jordi was cut off by a doctor walking into the room.

"Hi Layla, I'm Dr. James and I have been looking over you for the past few days. I just need to check your vitals and the injuries to your back and jaw. In case Jordi hasn't informed you yet, you have multiple lacerations on your back and it has scarred over, they are just not fully healed yet. And your jaw has been wired shut due to a small fracture. I should be able to unwire it today, since it was a very small fracture. I will bring you back for an X-Ray real quick to see if it's healed enough for that. Also, you broke a rib on the left side of your rib cage, so that will be sore for a while." He turned to Jordi, "We will be right back, alright?" Jordi nodded.

"Okay, so here we are. The wires are out, and your jaw will be sore for a while. Don't try to open it all the way, and only eat light foods. Everything is fine other than that." Dr. James said once we arrived back at the room with Jordi and Ben. "Have a great day, I will see you guys later for another check-up. Alpha Jordi." He nodded to Jordi when leaving.

"Um, Alpha Jordi?" Jordi looked at me nervously.

"That's actually what I wanted to tell you guys about."

"Okay?" I said, confused. Ben was just looking up at him, almost as confused as I was.

"Well, first, what do you know about wolves?"

Ben spoke next, "I know they have a weader and the always travel in groups. And that they are really strong! I learn about them in school awot. But they aren't called wolves, really. My teacher says they're we-werewolves, I think?"

"Yeah, werewolves. That's right. Layla?"

"Yeah...I've heard about them. The only things I know is what Ben just said. And that they're leaders usually have second-in-commands."

"Look, why don't I help you sit up right so I could prove it?" Jordi asked.

I nodded, and he got up, helping me turn over slowly. When I successfully made it to sitting up straight with no pressure on my back or too much on my rib. "Okay, I won't believe you until I see this."

"That's what I thought. Do you want Taylor to show you or me?"

"Taylor." I don't know why, but if this did turn out to be true, I wanted Jordi to be there for me. He just made me feel safe with anything.

"Okay, Tay, you know what to do, the room's big enough for it."

Taylor started to shake. His skin looked like it was making ripples, like when you drop a pebble in water. His body started to shrink, while parts of his clothes started to rip. I tried to look away but Jordi told me to keep watching.

After a few seconds, standing in Taylor's place on four paws was a giant brown wolf. I was completely shocked. I couldn't speak, this was crazy. First I get the worst beating, get the news that Marcus is in custody and I'm safe, and now this?!

"Okay... This is crazy. I'm losing my mind, right? Tell me I'm right!" I felt like I was crazy, so I must be, right?
