Layla was crying by then end. "Oh my gosh, that's so horrible! Poor Logan!" She buried her head in my chest, "And I love you too."
"Hey, he has Ben now. I can't tell you how happy he's been. It's amazing what an impact you've had on this pack already."
I felt her smile into my chest as I smiled into her hair. "When can I meet them? You know, like you said? Be introduced?"
Her question took me by surprise, "Um.. I don't know. What about next weekend? Get you settled back in at school after missing these few days and then we can actually plan it out. How's that?"
"That's perfect." She smiled.
"Hey babe, I have good news." Jordi waltz's into the living room, interrupting me from watching this new show I've just discovered, Chasing Life.
I paused it after fumbling around for the remote, "Really? What is it?"
"Alpha Damon, a neighboring Alpha in the close territory, has given us permission to hold Marcus on his land. I decided that piece of scum was way too close to you and Little Man."
I smiled, jumping up and into Jordi's arms. "That's great! I love you so much! Oh my gosh, so we're safe? For good? Oh my gosh..." I started rambling.
"Shh, babe, calm down," Jordi laughed, "Yes you two are safe. He's a good ten miles from here." He smiled even brighter, that dimple making itself known.
I hugged him again, leaning up pecking him on the lips.
"I just needed to tell you the good news. I have to go now baby, Alpha duty, but I'll be back in an hour, I promise." I start giggling, "What? Is there something on my face or in my teeth?" I'm full out laughing now, tears threatening to fall.
I finally calm down enough to get the words "You said duty," out before I'm laughing again.
He only chuckles along with me, "Very funny. I gotta go now, love you."
"Love you too." Now time to get back to my show.
"What are you working on?"
"What do you mean with Marcus escaping!! I thought we were finally safe!" I almost start crying, I'm already shaking in my chair.
He flinches back a bit at my tone, then wraps his arms around my body, pulling it up and into his chest to stop the shaking. "My dad just told me, I'm so sorry baby. I will do everything in my power to protect you and so will this pack. They may not have met you yet but they will protect you and Ben with their lives." He's looking into my eyes now, trying to calm me down further.
"W-What ha-happened?" I squeak out, the tears streaming down my cheeks now as Jordi wipes each one away as they fall.
"Apparently, during transportation, the driver of the van lost control somehow and crashed into a tree. My men were unconscious for a few minutes and they said when they woke up he was gone with the chains on the ground and the back doors hanging open."
I just cry even harder. "This is why I need to distract anyone who may be looking for you. We don't know where he is since none of the packs can trace him. He must've ran into neutral territory." He adds.
"Oh my God. Why me? Why Ben and I?! What the fuck?" I screech out, dragging my hand across the kitchen counter, swiping all of my things onto the floor.
"Sissy?" A small, scared voice interrupts me, making me calm down some. "What's happening?"
Ben is standing by the door with his hand in Logan's, while he's pushing Logan behind him. He looks scared.
