He just smiles at me sadly. "That's amazing Jo. She should come over one day so I can meet her. She sounds like an amazing young lady. But don't you think it's a little weird that she's human? You need to ask Principal Morgan about that. She shouldn't be allowed in the school unless she's a werewolf or her family knows about them. And since I'm not alpha and I don't attend the school, I can't question him about it. Ask him tomorrow." Nodding in response, I go up to my room with Taylor following behind me.
Shutting the door behind him, he sits on the bed with me. "Congrats man, Layla is amazing and she so smart and funny. She hasn't talked to me a whole lot, but from the little she has, she's great. The way she talks about things, so smart and soft-spoken, is amazing. She's perfect for you, dude."
Smiling for maybe the billionth time today, I reply, "Thanks. I just wish she was more comfortable around me. I'm gonna work on that tomorrow. Protect her. I can't be with her all day like you can, basically. You know you're like a brother to me, so I'm trusting you to protect her and help her with anything she needs."
"Of course bro. You know I would. I already adore her as my future Luna so of course I would honorably take on the role of protecting her. She's amazing and I would risk my life for her already."
"Thanks Tay."
It was around eight at night and I was currently in the kitchen thinking about Layla, of course. I can't believe she's my mate. I haven't smiled this much since before Mom died. She's simply that amazing.
The sound of feet hitting the tiles floor snaps me out of my thoughts and makes me whip me head around to the doorway. Standing there was none other than Kacy, the pack 'slut.' She's been trying to get me to hook up with her forever and even though I used to be like that, looking for hookup after hookup, I've never went for her. She's basically a walking STD. She sleeps with anything with a pulse. It's disgusting, honestly. She's also the queen of bitches themselves. She's rude to anyone she thinks is below her and I can't stand it. Her and her little minions walk around thinking they're the best things on planet earth. I hate the fact she's in my pack because I have to deal with her all the time. Whenever she causes trouble, like bullying some of the younger kids in the pack, I have to put up with it. Although, I don't mind helping out the little kids. I just adore them and hope for one of my own one day. That thought brings me back to Layla. Will she want kids? What would they look like? Would they have her gorgeous eyes, cute freckles and beautiful hair or my eyes, plain skin, and dark brown hair? I can't wait until I can have her in my arms and safe with me. Even though she's safe anywhere else, I want her safe with me.
Clenching and unclenching my fists, I respond as calmly as possible. "Do not talk about my mate that way! Not only is she my mate but your future Luna! You will not, and I repeat will not disrespect not only her, but me as well." I boom out.
Since I used my alpha voice, she just takes a step back, afraid. The disgusted look never left her face since she found out Layla was my mate. "Fine, Alpha. Sir, yes sir." Backing away, she smirks. Turning, she goes back to her room down the hall. I hate that she lives in the pack house along with her minions.
She just pissed me off majorly, which makes me want to blow off some steam. Going to the basement, I head into the door to my left, the gym. The right room hold the cells for rogue interrogating. Whenever we have a rogue we need to get information out of, we bring them there. Anyway, going into the gym, I step over to the punching bag and get to work.
