-Levi tell mommy where I went okay?-

"Okay," He says back. "You promised."

-I know, I know. I'll be back in a few hours. Okay?-

"Okay." Once I know that he's safe inside, I run off in the same direction to meet Briar.

{Briar's POV}

I paced back and forth in my room, debating on how to get to the Sycamore tree. I could shift, I thought, but it's too risky, unless I be really careful. Tala is pure white so she stands out very easily. I can probably get there safely then shift back when I'm close enough to the tree. I stopped pacing, standing in the middle of my room I smiled, I knew exactly what I was going to do.

Rummaging through my dresser, I found my black support sports bra and my Pink branded boyfriend pants. I changed into the outfit I had chosen and pulled my hair into a messy top knot. I grabbed my phone and headed out the door.

I jog out of my father's territory and sit on the ground. As I began to shift, the pain rushed back but it wasn't as bad as last night's. In my Lupa Alba form, I shook to fluff my fur out and sprinted off towards the tree.

The way the air ran through my fur as I swerved around trees felt like I was flying. The way the earth felt under my paws after each stride made a crinkling sound that can distract you from anything and everything. I practically glowed in this pitch black forest, standing out against everything here. Taking in the scent of the place I called my home, a sweet scent filled my nose. No, bitter. It was a combination of citrus, roses and chocolate. Since I'm in my Wolf form, Tala took over.

-Mate-

-Tala, hold on we can't-

-Mate- She cut me short and sprinted towards the source of the beautiful aroma. She dodged all the trees until I finally regained control before we ran into a tree.

-Tala, wait.-

-We can't smell him in human form .-

-Yes I know this but--

-Wait, the scent, it's stronger than it was before. We're close, Briar.-

"Huh?" I asked, smiling back, blushing.

"I said, did anything happen after lunch?" He repeated looking back and forth from my torso, lips and eyes. I blushed at his gesture and twirled a piece of hair around my finger

"Um...not really. Oh! Guess how I got here." I told him bouncing.

As if he was thinking really hard, he rubbed his chin, then placed his index finger in the air as if he found out how to cure cancer. "Did you fly?" He asked in a very excited tone.

I hit his arm gasping. "Okay, first of all, no, and second of all, I'm not freaking three so you don't need to talk to me that way, " I laughed as I playfully glared at him.

"Okay, then how did you get here?" He asked rubbing his arm.

"I shifted, again. It felt amazing, Chase. I felt like I was flying, like there wasn't a care in the world." I said dozing off into space. "Oh, I also smelled my mate."
