"I guess not, heh," he chuckled. "Want to walk with me to the party? It starts in thirty minutes."
"Oh, uh...wait-thirty minutes?!" I asked startled, quickly making sure I have all of my things.
"Yeah, it's 6:30..." He trailed.
"Shit!" I muttered and sprinted off towards my house. If he hadn't caught on before then, then he surely caught on now.
Touching the first step to my front door, it swung open to reveal my older and coldhearted sister, Sienna Stone, the Princess of the Konane Pack.
"You're late." She stated as she stood in the doorway.
"The party starts in twenty-five minutes, I've got time." I snuck passed her and ran up the stairs.
Picking out my LBD (little black dress) and a pair of black closed-toed pumps I toss them on my bed. I snatched up a gold necklace with my name written on it and a few gold bracelets with a pair of gold earrings.
Shutting my door, I untie the flannel that was wrapped around my waist and slid off my tee and ripped jeans. Pulling the dress on, I shake out my silver- grey hair to see what I was working with (yeah white is my natural hair color). I sleek it up into a proper bun and pull out a few of my curls to frame my face. I clip all of my jewelry on to finish.
slipping my shoes on, I fix my dress and walked down the stairs. Seeing my sister, she sighed.
"Make-up?" she bluntly asked.
"What?"
"Where's your make-up?" she asked again, this time stricter.
"Upstairs..." I trailed, not knowing where she was going with this.
"Come on, we have ten minutes before all of the packs of West America get here." Groaning, I follow her back upstairs into the bathroom. I sit on the counter so she can reach my face easily. I let her brush some light colored eyeshadow on and rub eyeliner on my eyelid. She took out the mascara and brushed it on my eyelashes followed by a clear coat of lip gloss. "There," she said after brushing a little bit of blush on, backing away as if to admire me. "Now you look...decent."
"Well gee, thanks." She turned her nose up and walked out. Looking at myself in the mirror, I hardly recognized myself. My trance broke by the sound of a door bell.
Looking over the railing , I see my friends Evie, Jayden and Cooper. Walking down I greet them. I gave them each hug, the guys lifting me off the ground to hug me, Evie not so much.
"Happy birthday!" they said and handed me my presents.
"Awh! Thank you!" I took the three envelopes and sat them on the table where the rest will be. Bringing them inside, we waited for Alphas and Betas.
{Chase's POV}
"Bro, I'm telling you. It was her! She-she just didn't smell me..." I tried to explain to my best friend Flynn.
"Ay yo? You good?" Flynn asked watching me carefully.
-I told you! It's our mate!- My wolf Koda proved
-Koda, a-are you sure?-
-Yes!-
"Chase," Flynn shoved me. "Dude, what is it?"
"Mate." was all I could mutter.
{Briar's POV}
All of the packs began to arrive one by one and were checked off at the door by one of our soldiers. Thankfully it wasn't everyone from each pack joining us. A Beta and an Alpha from each one attended my party, if they were married or mated, they came as well. Once Cooper's parents arrived with his four year old sister, Ophelia, I checked the list to see who else we were missing. There were only four people left that hadn't shown yet: Alpha Cullen and his Beta from the Umbra Pack and Alpha Byrne and his Beta from the Misun Pack.
Ophelia reached her hand out to mine as a request for me to hold hers. Obliging to her request, she began by dragging me through the house, on some sort of mission. Finally realizing where she was taking me, Her eyes lit up when she saw the dessert table. Picking her up and placing her on my hip, I look around for the mysterious boy from the woods. Getting lost in my thoughts I figured I needed some kind of name for him - since I don't know who he is, I'll make up my own for now. But I wasn't sure what to call him.
"I knew I'd find you over here by the treats," My best friend Evie proclaimed. Evie and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember. We originally hated each other, we would do everything and anything to avoid each other. But one day, we found something to bond over and we've been inseparable ever since.
