"No it doesn't," He claimed taking another sip from my drink. I pulled it from him and Chase grabbed it and drank from it. I took it from himwith a look of complete and utter shock that they would both do that.
"Yes it does," I said taking another sip of my soda. "Take a bite and I promise you, Pizza Hut will be Heaven to your taste buds." I promised.
Shrugging, he took a bite of his slice of cheese pizza. Instantly regretting his choice, He spits it out and takes a long sip of his soda. Smiling, feeling accomplished, I watched as the rest of the group pushed their slices towards the center of the table. "Told you," I mocked watching him stare me down, playfully.
Once the kids finished their pizza, I decided to treat them and my friends to ice cream from Cold Stone. After ordering and paying for all of the treats, Levi and Ophelia sat at the table in front of us -Levi pulled her chair out for her and helped her up into the chair. It was honestly the cutest thing ever- and ate their ice cream and talked about...whatever kids talk about now a day.
"Wait, you're telling me my sister's name for you is Cookie?" Cooper asked, laughing. He had asked why Ophelia was calling him cookie and I explained to him why, blushing as I tried not to look at Chase.
Chase nodded and Flynn turned to him and laughed. "She's your sister. Her names for people are...interesting." I claimed taking another bite of my chocolate ice cream.
"Remember that phase she went through and called you Sweetie for like two years of her life?" Evie asked, smiling. I laughed and nodded.
"What?" Chase chuckled, obviously very confused.
"My mom calls every one of my close friends a different name. Evie is Sugar, Jayden is Jay-Jay, and Briar is Sweetie. Lia heard my mom call her Sweetie so many times she actually believed that it was her name." Cooper explained. "Her name for me is Boo. I would always try to scare her as an infant and I would look at her and shout 'Boo!' and she started calling me that. I tried to get her to call me by my name but nope. She knows my name, she just won't call me by my name."
Chase and Flynn sat there laughing. I smiled at Chase's laugh, and tried not to stare while he laughed.
"So does that mean I can call you 'Sweetie' now?" He asked looking down at me and biting his lip. I'm almost positive that my face was brighter than a "STOP" sign. "I'm just kidding," he claimed, grinning at me. I nodded and shoved a heaping spoonful of ice cream in my mouth, glancing at Evie out of the corner of my eye, she had the biggest smile on her face.
We talked for a while and then decided to go back to my house to let the kids play for a little longer. We took that as a chance for us to hang out longer.
"Hi, little one. Having fun?" they nodded with big grins on their faces. I chuckled. "Do you guys want anything to drink?" I asked.
They nodded. "Lia, what do you want?" My eyes widened as I watched Levi take care of Ophelia. "We both want apple juice, please." He smiled.
I nodded. "Okay, I'll be back soon." I smiled.
"Thank you," Levi said before turning back around and resuming the game he and Lia had started.
When I closed the door, a small laugh escaped my lips as I walked towards the kitchen. He's a little gentleman, I thought. I wonder where he gets that from.
