I glanced up and saw his car, my jaw practically hit the ground. "Holy mother of shit." I mumbled.
He had unlocked a sleet black Ford Mustang with white stripes down the center. He walked over and opened my door waiting for me to finish my admiring. I glanced at my car, a 201 silver Land Rover with black interior and a sun roof, and internally cried.
I walked towards him and let him help me in the car. I cringed when I sat down, holding my stomach. Evie you better have some Ibuprofen.
We pulled up to the school and I grabbed my things and walked as fast as I could, next to Chase, to our hang out spot. He interlaced our fingers and held me close, ignoring all the girls that drooled over him.
When I reached Evie, I called her name. when she made eye contact with me, I said the trigger word: "Code Blue."
Evie and I made trigger words for when we were around boys or public places so we know what's going on or what each other needs. Code Blue means cramps.
She gasped and grabbed her bag. She apologized to Chase in advance as he pulled me from his grip. He slightly growled at her.
"Wait, how do you know he's my
Mate?" I asked watching her pull me around the corner.
"I didn't. I figured with the way he glowered at Jayden and Cooper." She smiled at me. "Has he marked you?"
"No. Not yet. I think he's waiting for me to tell him it's okay. Because of the mating process afterwards..." I answered awkwardly. She nodded in understand meant.
"Did the tattoo show up?" She asked handing me two Ibuprofen. Nodding, I sipped on the bottle of water she handed me, plopping the pills in my mouth. Swallowing the medicine, she handed me a panty liner and a tampon. Nodding, I went to the bathroom stall. "What does it look like?" She asked while I did my business.
"I'll show you later...awh shit." I cursed looking down at my underwear.
"Is it a lot?" She asked from outside the stall, after she turned on all the faucets so if any of the boys were listening it would mess up their hearing.
"No. Just a few spotting. So that's why my stomach hurt. Do you have any midol for later? These Ibuprofen won't last." I said doing what I had to do.
I could sense Chase looking at me but I just keep my eyes on Evie. When her finger touched his skin he jumped back and cursed.
She backed up and I glanced at her before attending to my mate. "What happened?" I asked him.
"It was almost like it rejected her. It burned." I glanced at his arm and reached down to touch it. It sent sparks through me and made me feel warm and fuzzy. "Yup it rejected her," he said smiling.
"Bri, I'm so sorry. I had no idea that was going to happen I-" I cut her short.
"Evie it's okay. I'm not mad. It's just the whole mate thing." I said walking over to her. I hugged her and then the bell rang.
After saying goodbye to Evie and Jayden, Chase walked me to class, while Cooper tagged along. He went ahead of us and into the classroom so we could have our privacy before class.
He leaned over and kissed me on the lips, sending sparks through me. When he pulled away, I heard all the She-Wolves whining, not knowing if they've seen the tattoo or the kiss. More likely the kiss but you never know.
