Back in Silverbrook City, Ivy twirled her crescent blade in her fingers. She said to Matthew, who was also in the SUV, "You don't need to do anything. Anyone who wants to hurt your family shall first get past me."

Matthew said his thanks. "Thank you for all you've done. If I weren't here, I would have to trouble you. Now that I'm here, though, I have to protect my family myself. I can do it, so I'd prefer not to trouble you."

Ivy frowned. Displeased, she said, "You… You're too polite to me."

Matthew looked up, only to meet Ivy's disgruntled gaze. He was confused. "Was I polite?"

Ivy continued, sounding unhappy, "You're too polite. It's as if you were speaking to a random passerby. I'm yours, and so my life is yours as well. You don't need to be so distant."

Matthew said with a smile, "I entrusted my family to you. Would I do that if you were a passer-by?"

Ivy pursed her lips tight. After a brief silence, she said, "If that's so, you shouldn't be so polite to me.

"You're going to be the Juprus in the future, someone who will accomplish great deeds. That's why you shouldn't need to worry yourself over minor matters within the family. Just leave them to me."

Matthew's interest was piqued upon hearing her mention the Juprus Order. "Do you know what the Juprus does?"

Ivy turned her gaze toward Matthew, shaking her head.

Matthew heaved a long sigh. "Ah, I didn't expect even you to not know."
