Matthew looked in surprise at the members of the Evans family kneeling before him. His cold gaze finally settled on Justin's face.

In a frosty tone, he began, "I first heard about the Evans family from Louis. He said the Evans family was the top martial arts family in Lambda City.

"He warned me I'd be digging my own grave if I dared to mess with him. If you're that powerful, why would you now pledge your loyalty to me? Are you kidding me?"

Justin quickly explained, "My grandson Louis was reckless and ignorant. If he had known about your power, Mr. Grant, he wouldn't have talked nonsense. Mr. Grant, my family is serious about this. From now on, we will move under your lead."

Soren stood dumbfounded. He was unable to keep up with the sharp turn of events.

Just moments ago, there was bloodshed. Dylan had been stabbed twice, and he was still bleeding from the wounds. The blood had pooled on the ground.

Yet, no one called 911. They couldn't care less about Dylan's life. Meanwhile, Dylan's father was kneeling and pledging his loyalty to Matthew.

Matthew snorted dismissively, "Stop right there. Pledging your loyalty to me? Forget it."

With that, he turned to leave. In the modern world, everyone was equal. He didn't care if the Evans family saw themselves as an elite cultivator clan. Even ordinary citizens had their dignity. No one would grovel to another.

Seeing that Matthew was nearing the door, he limped desperately after him, blocking the exit and kneeling again before Matthew.
