Feeling overjoyed, Zachary grinned ear to ear. "It's looking good. I've got this."

Was it just looking good? It was a different outcome from actually pulling it off.

Matthew got even more curious because of the vague answer. He couldn't help but pry further. "Did you succeed or not?"

Zachary smugly responded, "I'm not kidding. With my charm, no woman can resist me. I'm pretty sure that I'm about to win her over."

Realizing Zachary hadn't sealed the deal, Matthew felt speechless. "Can you stop bragging already?"

Zachary hurriedly explained, "I'm not making this up. Do you have a minute? If you do, I'll explain everything."

Matthew figured Rachel would take half an hour for the morning meeting, so he smiled and replied, "I've got time."

He never thought Zachary could live off a woman. Zachary was in his 30s. Even though he was reaching 40 soon, he was still just a security guard captain. Plus, his income was way behind the woman in the finance department.

He was pretty average when it came to looks, but that woman from the finance department had the looks and the figure. Thus, Matthew didn't think Zachary was going to cut it.

When Zachary said he was close, Matthew was super curious about what tricks he had used to win her over.

Zachary beamed the entire time. He'd just landed Cherise Hufford and was just looking for someone to brag to.

Upon hearing that Matthew was free, he couldn't hide his excitement and said, "Great. I can't wait to tell you the whole story. Where do I begin? I guess I'll start with the part where I asked Cherise out. Do you know that her name is Cherise?"

Matthew chuckled. "Alright. Now I know. Hurry up and get to the next part."
