Zachary continued, "I have a feeling Cherise liked me. Why else would she have me do it and not one of my colleagues? She's already made the first move, so I think it's time for me to do something too.

"After parking her car, I spent the whole day thinking about how to confess to her, but I couldn't think of anything that felt right.

"In the end, I searched online, but the ideas I found were way too unrealistic. Some people wanted to make a spectacle, others wanted to put on a show, but they were all way too expensive.

"The money I make each month is way too little. There's nothing that fits my budget.

"I spent all day racking my brain. It was almost time to clock out, I still didn't come up with anything.

"I paced around the finance department, watching everyone leave. Seeing that only Cherise was still around, I got even more anxious, and my heart was pounding like it was going to jump out of my chest.

"Cherise closed the door and was about to leave. I knew I couldn't wait any longer, so I gritted my teeth and walked toward her."

Matthew's curiosity was through the roof, wondering how Zachary would confess his feelings.

Zachary added, "Cherise stopped in her tracks when she saw me coming and asked, 'What's wrong?', so I took the plunge and said the words I'd been planning all day—'Want to grab some dinner? I'd love to take you out.'"

Matthew was a little bummed out. After waiting forever, Zachary merely asked Cherise out for a meal. It wasn't as exciting as he thought it'd be.
