Even if they didn't love their wife, they'd still want to be treated like some treasure. But you're Nathan. I know how you treat women you don't like. You can't even bother to pretend. So if you're this angry, does that mean you've actually fallen for me?"

He frowned and denied it. "I haven't."

"Then what is it?" Ivy demanded.

Nathan reached out and pinched her small chin. "The weird one here is you. You're cold as ice during the day, then you're all over me at night. It makes me think you're hiding something from me."

Ivy stayed silent.
