Early the next morning, Ivy opened her eyes and realized she was in bed.

She sat up. She remembered working late last night and falling asleep right on the desk. How did she wake up in bed?

There was only one explanation: Nathan must have carried her upstairs.

The spot beside her was already empty. He had probably gone to the office.

Ivy grabbed her phone. The moment she checked the time, her eyes widened. It was already eight.

She had slept in!

Normally, she woke up a little after six and went for a morning run. She would then grab a coffee and breakfast, then start work.

But today, she had slept straight through until eight.

What was happening to her? Was she starting to get unusually sleepy?

Her phone rang just then. Madge was calling.

Ivy answered. "Hey."

"Ms. Ivy, why aren't you at the studio yet? This isn't like you. Come on, tell me, did you and Mr. Lowe stay up too late having fun last night?" Madge teased.

Ivy paused. Nothing had happened last night, and Nathan was still upset with her.

She had to fix things between them.

Holding the phone, Ivy said, "I'm not going to the studio today."

"Why?"

"I'm spending the day with my husband."

Madge practically squealed. "Wow, look at you, skipping work for love! Don't worry. I'll rearrange everything."

Ivy hung up. She rarely took days off, but for Nathan's sake, she had no choice today.
