“She’ll wait for the wedding day to start calling me that. Charlotte’s just shy,” Anthony said softly.

“Alright, that works.” It was bound to happen sooner or later.

Lavinia’s face lit up. “We actually came by to talk about the new house.”

After they got married, Charlotte and Anthony would still be living at Imperial Heights most of the time, but the Blair family had bought a brand-new, insanely expensive place right next to the Blair Estate for them. It was just in case they wanted to visit or stay over.

Charlotte took the floor plans and flipped through them, not really paying attention. She didn’t have any special requests for a house and honestly had no idea what to suggest.

When she got to the last few pages, she realized there wasn’t a nursery. She licked her lips and tried to keep her tone casual. “Let’s add a nursery, too.”

The room went quiet. All three women looked at her at the same time.

Charlotte coughed and quickly tried to cover it up. “It’ll come in handy sooner or later.” She changed the subject right away. “Anthony and I are heading out of the country for a few days to see someone. You and Grandma don’t need to stress about the wedding…”

“How could we not?” Patricia jumped in immediately. “Don’t worry about a thing. We’ll talk it through with your parents.”
