"We definitely will." Roger cast a sidelong glance at her, his fingers tightening around hers as he beat her to the punch. "We should get going."

With that, Roger pulled a stunned Stella through security and into the departure lounge.

As soon as they sat down, Stella pulled her hand free and deliberately looked away.

Seeing her lack of enthusiasm, Roger didn't push it.

It wasn't until the plane landed in Cabinda that she reacted.

Considering Roger's status and afraid his face would be recognized, Stella not only refused to support him but deliberately kept her distance.

Roger shot her a look, his expression reverting to its usual icy detachment.

At the arrivals gate, Charlotte and Anthony were already waiting.

"Charlotte!"

After not seeing her for two months, Stella had missed her terribly.

The moment she spotted her, she couldn't control her emotions and ran over without a second thought.

Seeing this, Charlotte raised an eyebrow, slipped her hand out of Anthony's, opened her arms, and ordered him blankly, "Step back."

Anthony frowned, but obediently stepped aside.

"Charlotte, it's been so long." Stella threw herself into Charlotte's arms, hugging her very carefully because of the nearly six-month pregnant belly. "I missed you so much."

"Welcome home." Charlotte smiled, gently stroking her hair, her voice soft. "Did you have a good time?"

"Yeah." Stella nodded, her eyes growing damp.

Aside from the days Roger treated her like a fool and she worried he was hallucinating, it had been a very relaxing trip.

"I'm glad you're back." Charlotte smiled warmly, taking Stella's hand and placing it on her belly, though her tone held a hint of complaint. "These two haven't been behaving."

"That's enough," Anthony said deeply, his eyes fixed gently on his wife before throwing the problem to Roger. "Call your girl over."

It had only been two months. Was this overly emotional reunion really necessary?

Watching Stella gently rub Charlotte's belly, smiling radiantly and asking questions, Anthony almost had the illusion that the babies were hers.

"Why don't you call yours over?" Roger retorted, his voice low as he supported his lower back, unable to stand completely straight.

"Me?" Anthony scoffed, a mocking smirk playing on his lips, though it was laced with indulgence. "Look at her. Do you think I'd dare?"

His wife was already delicate, and in her third trimester, her temper was incredibly unpredictable.

Everyone in the family spoiled and coaxed her; he certainly wasn't going to be the one to cross her.

"Oh, really?" Roger shoved his hands into his pockets, maintaining his stoic expression while delivering the most cowardly line. "What a coincidence. I wouldn't dare either!"
