"Shut up." I spit, trying to look mad even though I wasn't.

"Skyla, can we not talk in the bathroom. There really is a toilet full of shit behind you." I turned around, regretting it almost immediately. Someone didn't have the ability to flush.

"Fine, but we are going to finish this conversation."

"Okay." He turned around and walked out of the bathroom. We made our way back to the bar where we first met. The bar where we first kissed... Okay, get a grip!

He ordered a drink then asked me if I wanted anything, but I said no. I had already experienced far too many hangovers in the short time I'd been in this hotel.

"You know," Dante said. "We never actually got to the part where you almost got raped. That was your ex, right? The one who married your cousin?"

"He was supposed to, but he told me that they didn't go through with it."

"Why was he on you like that? Don't tell me he still loves you. That's not how you treat someone you love. Even I know that."

"That wasn't him. He was drunk." I explained.

"A drunk mind speaks a sober heart."

Those few words made me stop and think for a second. I was almost convinced, but then decided that it wasn't true. I knew Nick. That wasn't Nick.

"How does he know you?" This question had been eating me up for a while now.

"Not important."

My anger returned. "What do you mean it's not important? He compared you to some Silvio guy. Who's Silvio, and how does Nick know you?"

He sighed. It was obvious that this was making him uncomfortable. "He doesn't know me. He knows my father, Silvio. I do look like him."

"He called your father cruel. He said that you were the same."

"I held the man by his neck. Of course he's going to think I'm cruel."

"Dante," I said. "So Silvio is your dad, but who is he? How does Nick know him." I knew Nick for nearly two years and not once did I ever hear him mention the name Silvio.

"My father is a businessman. He knows a lot of people. I don't know what their personal connection is."

"Cruel?" I questioned.

He laughed. "You're only saying that because you think I feel bad."

I smiled, and shrugged my shoulders.

I waited until after he finished his drink to leave the bar. Dante decided to walk me to my room and when I asked why he said, "Just making sure no past lovers are up there waiting for you."

I laughed. "He was my only."

"Besides me."

Did he really just say that? "I guess so, Dante." I sighed as I tapped the card against the sensor on the door.

I turned around to see him leaning against the door frame with a small smile on his face. Even something as casual as that turned me on.

"Seems like everything is-? I grabbed him before he had a chance to finish his sentence.

I crushed our lips together, and of course, because I'm Skyla Williams, I knocked him off balance. He grabbed onto my waist and we stumbled into the wall. "I am not a whore." I breathed.
