Summary of Chapter 37 – A pivotal chapter in The Wounded Love by Mia
The chapter Chapter 37 is one of the most intense moments in The Wounded Love, written by Mia. With signature elements of the Internet genre, this part of the story reveals deep conflicts, shocking revelations, and decisive character changes. A must-read for anyone following the narrative.
"Are you guys gonna do it again, because if you are there's a bathroom literally two feet to your left." Sean called out, swiping the hair away from his face.
Dante ignored him and leaned down so that his mouth was at my ear and mumbled, "We'll finish this later."
We went between the hot tub and the pool for a few hours. At one point Sean made a call and servers in black uniforms came in with trays of food and drinks, both alcoholic and some soda.
Jade behaved herself for the most part, there was only one incident where Sean 'accidentally' fell and grabbed the thing closest to him who, surprise, surprise just so happened to be the girl with the greenest eyes he's ever seen.
Dante on the other hand did not behave himself. He stalked me around the pool, poking and grabbing me at every chance he got. He also 'accidentally' dropped the creme of his cake on my upper thigh and like the gentleman he is wiped it up for me very, very slowly.
Men with their accidents, am I right?
Eventually other guests wanted to come into the pool so Sean opened it back up the public and we all went our separate ways.
"I had a lot of fun with you today." I heard Sean say to Jade with a half grin, a f@ck boy's grin.
"Me too. The next time you guys get together, give me a call." I guess somewhere along the way they had exchanged numbers because she said, "You have my number."
A part of me wanted to smack her, but at the end of the day it was her life. The most I could do was convince her to break things off with Luke first.
"I will see you later." Dante whispered to me before he followed Sean upstairs.
Jade came back up to my room to shower and change. I asked her if she wanted to stay over again, but she said she would go home. "Besides, you seem to have plans with your lasagna dish later."
"I can cancel if you want." Admittedly, the purpose of my invitation was to insure that she wouldn't go running off with Sean.
"Skyla, stop worrying about me. I will be fine."
"Well, call me if you need anything."
"Will do." Jade replied as she walked out of my room. "Love you! Merry Christmas!"
I showered, blow dried my hair, and slathered lotion all over my body. The chlorine always made my skin extra dry.
I heard a knock on my door the second I was done. Mr. Lasagna had perfect timing. I suddenly wondered if he knew how to make lasagna. That would make him absolutely perfect... a man who could cook for me... I day dreamed.
"Ok, but we're not doing the cat ears." That was just too weird for me.
After I put on the costume in the bathroom I walked back out to the bedroom to find Dante laying on the bed still fully clothed... that's not fair. I thought to myself.
His eyes lit up when he saw me. "Yep, I definitely like this gift." He pulled me onto the bed with him and in a matter of minutes the bra and underwear came off. He left the stallings on.
"I thought you said you weren't going to cave." I breathed in between kisses.
He fumbled with the belt around his waist and asked, "Why don't we just call it a tie?"
I helped him undress and then spun us over so that I was on top. "Fine, it's a tie."
I woke up before Dante who was sprawled out across the mattress with parted lips. The blanket only covered his waist, leaving the rest of him completely naked. I watched him sleep with the desire to climb on top of him and lay down on his big warm back.
But that fantasy quickly disappeared because I needed to pee. I needed to pee really bad.
