"Isabella." Liliana looked calmly at the crazed woman before her, her lips forming each word with precision. "Are you an idiot?"

"..."

Isabella was completely thrown by the insult. This was not how she had imagined this playing out. There was none of the pain or conflict she had expected to see in Liliana. Instead, Liliana just looked at her calmly, as if observing a lunatic, her expression one of utter bewilderment.

"Do you realize you're being detained in a police station?" Liliana continued. "There are cameras here. Threatening a pregnant woman in front of the police? You've got some nerve."

There was a faint, mocking undertone to Liliana's placid voice. She paused, then went on. "And could you please stop treating me like a fool? Do you really think that if I obediently got rid of my child, you would tell me the truth?"

"Ha." The thought was so ridiculous that Liliana couldn't help but laugh. A derisive smile touched her lips. "We grew up together, didn't we? Do you think I don't know you by now? Even if I listened to you and actually got rid of my baby, you wouldn't tell me the truth. You'd just gloat, laugh in my face, and call me an idiot for being so stupid."

Liliana smiled, her expression calm as she spoke slowly and clearly. "Isabella, there's a saying you should know. If you don't want anyone to find out, don't do it in the first place. Why don't you take a guess? Why are the Grayson family and Linton so sure that you deliberately orchestrated Matthew's accident?"

Isabella’s face went white, her expression turning ugly. Already unstable, she became agitated again, her voice rising to a shrill scream. "Liliana! Don't you dare threaten me! I'm not falling for it! You're just trying to scare me, aren't you? I know it! You just want to see me suffer!"

Liliana's eyes glinted. "You're giving me too much credit. I'm not that bored," she said coolly. "I have my own life to live. I have a baby to give birth to, a company to run, a family to spend time with... See? I have so much to do. I really don't have the time or energy to play these games with you."
