"Marry me Roxy" He repeated confidently, not a hint of reluctance in his voice. For a minute, only the splashing of the water on the tile could be heard as I just gazed at him.
"But-but wolves don't get married"
"Some do. And I want to. I want you to be mine in every way. I want to see you walk down that aisle and become mine both legally and by fate. I want the three of us to have the same name, as a family. I want you Roxanna Isabella Gilbert, for the rest of my life. So please, will you marry me?"
My tears kept washing away with the water as I beamed brightly and threw myself in his arms. "Yes yes yes yes Ace! I'll marry you"
He laughed in joy as he lifted me and spun me around. He then placed me back on my feet, and he didn't hesitate to kiss me again.
I suddenly felt excited. A matebond was enough to bond two wolves together for life. And so, some wolves never saw the need for such a mundane union, since the bond was greater than any wedding vow.
But if I was being honest, I always wanted to be one of the wolves who did. My mom and my dad got married, and though I wasn't born, the pictures always made me want to get married someday.
Even if he didn't know it, Ace just made one of my dreams come true. Do you believe in perfect mates?
"Will you move into my room with me? You know officially?" He asked and I nodded in response. We would sleep in each other's rooms now and then, but I think it would be great to share a room now.
"Good. Cause I already asked Lilly to pack your things" He beamed innocently. I simply laughed at his confession as I squeezed some soap on his back.
Yup. Perfect mate.

"I still can't believe you're gonna be living here with me" I beamed at Jane as she curled her hair in my mirror.
We were getting ready to be introduced to the pack, and I was still in awe that my sister from another mother would get to live with me.
"Better believe it" She squealed excitingly. "Hey Lilly can you pass my dress?"
Lilly smiled brightly and passed Jane's dress to her. Over the past week, I've noticed how much Jane and Lilly got along. I wasn't surprised though, since they had the same type of personality.
I was already ready and waiting for Jane to be ready. I didn't bother dressing up since I was a simple person, but I looked decent. I wore a simple cute top, jeans and my converse sneakers. I pulled my hair in a bun and applied a little lip gloss.
My eyes widened at this new information."Some people from my pack are coming?"
He chuckled and pointed in a direction where I saw some familiar faces. "Aiden is coming. And I'm sure some of his members wanted to see you and Jane off"
I nodded in understanding and pulled my lip between my teeth, something I did when I was thinking.
"What's on your mind?" Ace, who obviously saw my reaction asked.
"Will um-will my parents be here?"
He gave me a gentle smile and pulled me to his chest. "Yes they will. Are you ready to face your dad yet?"
I shrugged and buried my face in his chest. I haven't talked to dad from the day of the almost war. At first, I told myself that I was giving him and mom space, but I talked to mom almost every day so I knew I was just making excuses.
I tried to forgive him for hiding the truth from me by looking at the situation from his point of view. But what dad robs his kids of their childhood to do a job he was too afraid to do by himself? Plus lying about it all along?
