"Gosh, Lex! Stop shaking! You'll be fine!" He commanded as we walked through the school doors.

"Sorry! I'm just terrified. I want these people to like me!" I tried to shake my nerves.

"They'll love you!"

I groaned. "That's exactly what Chase said..."

"Speaking of Chase. I hear y'all are the cutest couple ever!" He teased me in an over exaggerated girl voice.

I blushed, "Yeah...."

"Don't be embarrassed! Hell you would think you never had a boyfriend!" Again I blushed. " You haven't!" He paused. "Was he your first kiss?" He whispered.

"No." I barked. I blushed at my outburst. He looked at me, waiting for an explanation. "I don't really want to talk about it." I looked down at my feet, as we walked.

"Okay, okay" he held his hands in surrender. Finally we had reached the front office. John walked ahead of me, straight to the desk.

"Hello. I need to get Alexis Thomas' class schedule?" He politely asked.

"Sure darling." The older women with graying hair replied. She turned and walked to a back room. I walked up to the counter next to John. When she returned, she smiled brightly at me.

"You must be, Ms. Alexis! You're gorgeous darling!" She handed me over my schedule.

"Thank you." We all said goodbye and then walked out. I don't get it, everyone here acts like I'm pretty when I know I'm not. They're all so nice, a little fake, because it's not true, but they're so much kinder than my old pack.

"Let me see!" John pulled the paper from my hands, and scanned it with his eyes.

"Okay, we have first, third, fourth, lunch and PE together!" He was so happy, I couldn't help but giggle at him. "Don't be mean! I've never had a friend in so many classes with me!"

"What friend?" I faked.

"Funny." He replied blandly.

"Hey there you are!" Chase breathed as he ran up behind us. "Come with me, I want you to meet my friend." He grabbed my hands and pulled me forwards, I grabbed my bag out of John's hand, and waved goodbye.

We walked over to a tall muscular boy, that look slightly familiar. "Lexi this is Connor. Connor this is Lexi." He introduced us.

"Thanks." I teased, just then a bell rang. Everyone was scattering to their classes. Connor said his goodbyes, and went on his way. But Chase stayed with me.

"Don't worry beautiful, you'll make friends in no time! All my friends already love you." He pecked my lips. "I'll take you to class" I put my small hand in his. His hands were rough and warm. Something about it just felt right. You know that feeling you get when you get home after a long day? That's how I felt with my hand in Chases. I was home.

Lexi's POV

School was a breeze, up until PE. When I arrived to the gym, I went up to one of the female coaches and told them my little spill about being new that I had given to all of my teachers so far. They were all kind, and either explained what was going on to me, or assigned someone else in the classroom too. However little miss bitchy coach over here stared blankly at me. I had no idea what to do. She was basically looking straight through me. She didn't even grunt at my presence. So finally I just said, "Would you please get me a uniform?" I truly tried to keep the sass out of my tone, but I'm not quite sure if I did a good enough job.

I felt bad after it left my mouth, I was never disrespectful to teachers. Or anyone really. And now here I am, practically ordering her around! She obviously didn't like what I said either, because she started to yell at me. I took a few cautious steps back, shrinking into myself.

"Listen here you little brat! I will not be disrespected in such a way-" her demeanor suddenly shifted, and her gaze went behind me. I turned around to see my knight and shining armor.

"Finish that sentence Luce." Chase commanded, not full alpha tone, but you could hear his power. She bowed her head to him.

"Sorry Sir. I mean no disrespect to you. This stupid girl here just wasn't listening..." She trailed off as his glare hardened.

"You will respect my girl. Do you understand?" She nodded her head quickly. "We will be going to get her uniform now, understood?" He didn't wait for a response, instead he pulled me into a nearby closet. Shutting the door, and flicking on a light quickly. He grabbed me so fast, I didn't even realize what he was doing until my back hit the door, and his lips meet mine. I moaned lightly when his teeth grazed my bottom lip. Finally he pulled away.
