Avalon is a small town that stood alone and was not part of the Empires. It is said that in the past, Avalon City was part of the Avalon Empire. However, due to the attacks of wild beasts and monsters, the Avalon Empire collapsed and left only a tiny town called Avalon City.
The city of Avalon is in the middle of the forest. The closest city that is frequently associated with
Avalon City is Tangier, a city still part of the Emerald Empire. Although relatively close, it took at least two months to get to Tangier City.
Avalon City is protected only by a simple stone fence, and there are only 15,000 residents in it. Most of the residents of Avalon City are farmers, and some are weapon smiths. It is scarce for anyone to work differently in Avalon City. Clothing vendors or food vendors are pretty challenging to find.
Avalon City's guards only numbered 100 people, with the ten most vital being the pillars of the City's security guards. The city leader with level 500 is the strongest human in Avalon City. After moving for some time to the north, Ares finally sees the stone wall, which is the protective wall of Avalon City.
"Finally, I see a city," Ares said.
He then rushed towards the city gates. The two guards guarding the entrance checked him. Once he passes the inspection, he can enter without being charged a travel fee.
"Money doesn't seem to work in this city," Ares muttered.
In the memory that he received, to enter the city usually, an entrance fee was charged. Only in Avalon City money is entirely useless. After entering the town, Ares can see the quiet and calm state of the city. Only a few people are seen passing through the city streets.
"What can I expect with a city in the middle of the forest," he starts walking around the city.
Along the way, Ares doesn’t see anything interesting from Avalon City; he doesn’t even find an inn or a place to eat that could be stopped.
"This is outrageous. At least I want to sleep one night on a soft mattress."
Ares could only keep walking and hope he found what he was looking for. However, he never crossed paths with other pedestrians. That also made him unable to ask about the place he was looking for.
Towards the afternoon, finally, he stops walking around and chooses to stop at a house in the middle of a vegetable garden. He sits on the house's terrace while enjoying the twilight light, which is quite pleasing to the eye.
"This house is ancient and seems to have been abandoned by its owner for a long time. The gardens here are also allowed to grow wild."
Ares looked at his surroundings which looked unkempt. "What exactly happened to this City? It's a pretty big city, but it feels so empty."
"Do you feel lonely?" A voice emerged from the void, enough to take Ares by surprise.
"Who just said that to me? Is there a ghost in this world?" he looked around, hoping to find the whereabouts of someone other than himself.
“Master, I am not a ghost. I am the system in your body. I've been asleep all this time and only woke up after you reach level 100."
He then muttered, “ten times stronger? It is a terrifying power.”
Ares doesn’t care how terrifying the fire element is. Right now, in his mind is only how he quickly becomes strong. Again, he called out to the system. “System, how many cherries should I eat to increase my fire elemental power?”
“Master, you only need to consume four fire cherries. But in this world, it is scarce for humans to be able to increase their fire element. Even if it's capable, it's only limited to upgrading to the level of the blue fire element.”
Ares doesn’t care to what extent his fire element would increase. Even if it is only up to the level of blue flames, at least he can kill monsters or beasts with a strength level twice his level.
Imagining that, Ares seems to be able to see thousands of experiences approaching him. Not wanting to waste time, he immediately goes behind the house and looks for the fire cherries.
“Master, you can only consume four fire cherries. If you consume more than four, your body may explode."
Ares frowned. 'Explode?' He had just thought about how many cherries he might eat, and luckily, he hadn't thought of the idea in his mind. A word of wisdom immediately echoed in his brain. Greed will lead you to destruction.
"Thanks for telling me from the start. Otherwise, I might have exploded."
"Master, you don't need to thank me because this is my job. Instead of thanking me, it's better for you to immediately find the whereabouts of the red cherries and consume them."
