"Can you open the window?" I ask, feeling extremely sweaty and hot. He frowns but goes to open the window. "Thanks," I mutter before getting off the bed and standing by the window, staring out at the passers by.

"Are you okay?" He asks, placing a hand on my back. I flinch and walk away. "Nova?"

"I'm fine, okay? I've got a question," I say, looking at him.

"Ask away, love."

"When are you going to reject me? Honest opinion, and don't give me the whole 'never' or 'I've been waiting for you' crap. I know it's a lie, so don't sugarcoat it. I'd rather you just reject me now rather than wait it our for longer and longer." At the end of my little rant, he just stares at me. He stares at me in shock and horror. What? He also looked..hurt. Without saying anything, he turned and left the room. I frown and guilt overtakes me. Did I hurt his feelings? He looked angry too. Oh.

Have I got this all wrong?

Yes, Ariella growls out, clearly annoyed with me.

But my opinion was different, I still don't think I thought wrong. I was right, wasn't I? He is going to reject me. He's probably just trying to guilt trip me. I look to the door and grin, my one way out. I open the door, thankful no one was around. What did I expect? He did say no one is really allowed up here. Score. I make my way downstairs, skipping every other step. Eventually, I'm on the ground floor and I head to the front door.

"Excuse me, are you the Luna?" I turn around to find a small girl looking up at me with her big brown eyes. Aw. She looked around five, and had blonde hair.

"Um-"

"I can't go back, okay? You've got to let me go, please," I beg, struggling still.

"Why? Kaden needs you, you seriously don't understand. You have to come back with me. You've got a duty, you're the Luna of this pack and you're his mate. You've got to get it out of your head, he's not going to reject you. He never will, Luna. He's waited for ages, didn't think he had one. Now he's found you and you're running away? You don't understand how much that's killing him. You've got to come back and from what I can see already, you both need each other. So please, will you come back? He needs you."

After a few minutes of thinking and debating, I make my decision. I know I'll regret it later. "Okay, I'll come back."

"Why were you running away?" The Beta decided to ask. I don't answer, but continue to walk with him. "Right, I haven't introduced myself. I'm the Marco, the Beta." I still don't speak, not wanting to. I wasn't entirely comfortable win him after he practically tackled me. "Look, I'm sorry okay? Not a good way to meet, but I had to get you back before Kaden-"

"Before Kaden what?" Marco's eyes widen and looks straight ahead, and finds an angry looking Kaden. He storms up to us, glaring. He was glaring at Marco, actually. What did Marco do? I was the one who ran..
