Marco gulped, "Um-"
"Before I found out my mate tried to escape me again?" He asked, looking directly at me. Now it was my turn to gulp. I cowered slightly, taking a step back. "Again? You ran again. You really don't want to be here, do you? You don't want me or anything, hm?" I continued to cower away, staying silent. Sadly, that just made him more angry. He let out a thunderous growl, picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. I didn't see where he was walking, but I knew Marco was following. After what felt like forever, I was put into my feet. "If you want to go, then go." We were in the forest and he stared down at me, hurt and anger in his eyes.
"Kaden-"
"Shut it, Marco. This doesn't concern you," he snarls out. Marco frowns and takes a few steps back. Kaden turns back to me, and narrows his eyes. "Go on then. You seem to want to go so badly, so why aren't you? Get the hell off my territory!"
"KADEN!" Marco yells out. "That's enough!"
"NO! She wants to leave me so I'm letting her!" Marco rolls his eyes and pulls Kaden to the side, speaking to him. Me? I stayed frozen in my spot. He was giving me the chance to leave, so why wasn't I taking it? What was wrong with me? I snapped out of my thoughts when Kaden stood in front of me again. Instead of saying anything, he pulls me towards him. He presses my head to his chest, kissing the top of my head. "I'm sorry, please don't actually leave me," I could hear the vulnerability in his voice and I just melted. I wanted to just hug him forever and just hold him in my arms. But why am I feeling this way? "Come on, let's go back to the pack house."
Marco walks ahead of us, leaving us to have some time to ourselves. No doubt we'll have a lifetime together if he doesn't reject me. "I'm sorry," I murmur, being the first to speak up. He looks down, sadness filling his eyes. "I just-"
