Chapter 829

Third Person’s POV

Germain let out a cold laugh,

“Gamma Adelaide is currently Lycan Erasmus’ most trusted confidante, and you actually had the balls to provoke her?”

Sidney frantically wiped the tears from her face.

“I just couldn’t stand seeing the once-noble Wanda endure such humiliation, so I spoke up for her.”

Germain stepped closer, cornering her, refusing to let her wiggle out of it.

“Then why didn’t you just take a squad of guards to the Glenveil Pack and argue her case for her? Or better yet, why didn’t you just bring her here to live in our territory?”

Sidney flinched back, stammering, “Her mother committed a major crime… she’s still in the dungeon. I obviously didn’t dare do that.”

Germain grabbed her by the chin, his grip bruising.

“Since you damn well know her mother committed treason, you still thought it was a good idea to hang out with her in private? Do you want to drag this entire pack into a treason case?”

Sidney was terrified by the murderous rage in his sunken eyes. Her lips trembled uncontrollably, and her pheromones collapsed into a mess of fear.

“Germain… what are you doing? Oh Moon, if I did something wrong, you could just tell me. You’re scaring my wolf to death.”

r “I warned you the King’s agents are on every street corner in this city! Stop hanging out with the famities of criminals! Your only job was to suck up to Paisley! And you? You couldn’t even manage that one simple task! What use does this pack have for a Luna like you?”

“Suck up to her?” Sidney’s tears started flowing again, her face a mask of humiliation and resentment.

“Why should I?! I am a high-born Luna! Why should I have to brown-nose a low-class female who does nothing but fight and kill? She’s just a temporary guest at the Blackthorn estate! Even Adelaide has to bow and greet me with respect!”

Germain let go of her chin, his hand moving to rest on her swollen cheek. His voice dropped back to a calm, terrifying level.

“Listen. Tomorrow morning, you are going to the Blackthorn estate. You will get on your knees and beg Paisley for her forgiveness. Then, at any cost, you will invite her here as our guest. If you screw this up, I will reject you on the spot and throw you out.”

Chapter 829

Sidney’s eyes nearly bulged out of her head.

“Moon Goddess! You’d abandon me for that Bitch? Why?”

“Because you are hopelessly stupid,” Germain said, poking her forehead hard with his fin

“We’ve been mated this long and you still don’t understand what I want or what I’m trying to do! You are my future plans! If it weren’t for the leverage I could get from the Stephens family, do you think would ha marked you? Did you honestly think I mated with you because I loved you?”

Sidney stumbled back, a sharp, tearing pain radiating through her mating bond.

Hot tears poured down her face.

“But you never tell me the truth! How am I supposed to know what’s going on in that head of yours if you never say anything?”

“I’m telling you now, aren’t I?” Germain turned away, leaving her with nothing but his cold back.

“Handle this perfectly, and I’ll be merciful enough to drop the business with you and Wanda.”

With that, he strode out of the hall without looking back.

A maid hurried over to support the hysterical Sidney.

“Luna, are you alright?”

Sidney wailed in despair.

“Why does he treat me like this? One minute he’s sweet, and the next he looks like he wants to rip my throat out! What did I do wrong? He never tells me what he wants-how am I supposed to know?!”

The maid shook her head helplessly.

“Luna, since Alpha Germain gave the order, you should go apologize as soon as possible. It’s the only way to win him back!”

Germain walked back to his study, his face dark. Raven stood up to meet him immediately.

“Alpha, why did Paisley show up so suddenly? Did Luna Sidney… finally find a way to get close to her?”

Germain let out a raspy, bitter laugh.

“That useless waste. She’s been hiding the fact that she’s been hanging out with Wanda and helping her spread lies about Adelaide.”

Raven shook his head in disappointment.

“Alpha, I told you from the start. Mating with her was a mistake. She has no real say in the Stephens family, let
