The party was led by Jason, the mayor of Alnewgo, and consisted of the executive vice mayor, the vice mayor of the economic department, as well as other leaders and officials in the economic field.

Jason approached Jack immediately after his arrival and shook hands with him, greeting him enthusiastically. Their interaction showed that Haven Net was being prioritized by Zargonia itself.

The finance tycoons who knew who Jason was gasped in surprise. They never expected to cross paths with the political leaders of Alnewgo during what was supposed to be a regular investors meeting that was hosted by Haven Net.

Seeing how Jason had personally made an appearance and how the people around her continued to discuss excitedly among themselves, Wilhelmina found that she no longer had the desire to listen to what they were saying. She no longer had any doubt in her heart, not after seeing how Jason treated Jack.

It was then that Wilhelmina developed a poor impression of Jack. It was why when she learned that Jack was her fiancé the following day, her first reaction had been violent rejection. Her repulsion of Jack reached its peak when she found out that he had grown up in a faraway and backward village in the country.

They grew up in two completely different worlds, so they had completely different principles and outlooks on life. Wilhelmina couldn't imagine spending the rest of her life with someone as vulgar, mediocre, and tasteless as Jack.
