True fear gripped Wilhelmina when she faced Jack. She knew now that making an enemy out of a monster like him was a terrible mistake, but she couldn't turn back time to stop herself from going down this treacherous path.

What she needed to focus her attention on was no longer the amount of shares she could acquire from Haven Net. Instead, she needed to figure out how she was going to face the inevitable humiliation that she knew was fast approaching.

Wilhelmina's pride wouldn't allow her to live such a pathetic life. However, she had also humiliated Jack in front of a crowd in the past before making her declaration. At the time, she never expected that a country bumpkin like him would surpass her with his own efforts.

Now that she was forced to confront reality, was Wilhelmina really going to go back on her word? It was impossible. Her upbringing didn't allow her to stoop so low as to break a promise.
