"After you tell Max, you should arrange up a meeting or something to introduce her to the family she never met," Kyle said to me.
"I was already planning on it," I responded nodding my head.
"Why was Max's mom banished from her pack?" Jacob asked.
"I don't know," I answered.
"Me neither."
This is something my dad would know, but he isn't here to help with this stuff anymore.
"Okay, thanks for talking with me guys, and please try not to bring this up around Max until I tell her. I don't want her going off at me fro keeping stuff from her," I all but pleaded them.
They both nodded and headed out the door. I got up a minute later and followed out the door, but instead of going out of the house, I went to Max's room to check up on her, making sure she was okay and doing alright.
I cracked the door opened and peeked inside, making sure she was still asleep. I found her in the middle of a pillow and blanket nest, it was cute. I continued into the room and took off my shoes before climbing into the bed. I scooted close to her and wrapped one of arms around her waist.
I was on my side as I looked at her in content. She was so beautiful. Her red hair flared around her, a few strands going across her face. I brought my hand up and brushed those few strands away. I smiled.
Max shifted and then turned towards me. She shuffled over to me and was cuddled up against me, her head against my chest. This was something I could get used to.
We stayed like this for awhile. I waited there until she woke up. I wanted to be there when she did because I wanted her to know I wasn't going anywhere.
A couple hours later I felt Max stir besides me. I looked down to her and smiled as I watched her open her forest green eyes to look up at me.
"Hello, beautiful," I whispered to her as I kissed her forehead.
"Hello, Logan," she replied.
We stayed like for a little longer until I reluctantly sat up, taking Max with me. I sighed and looked at her again.
"What is it?" she asked.
"I have to make a call and get something set up for tomorrow," I answered. "Will you mind hanging out with the girls today?"
"Nope."
Max gave me a a smile before she unwrapped her arms that were around m waist to let me go. I kissed her and got up and smiled at her one more time.
"Don't do anything stupid," she stated to me.
"I could say the same for you," I said with a wink.
I started to walk out of the room until I was stopped.
"Wait!" Max yelled. I turned around swiftly and just in time to catch her in my arms as she jumped off the bed. "Carry me to the kitchen first."
I walk out of the kitchen with Geena walking up the stairs.
I hear Geena say something then I hear Max scream "NEVER!" I laugh and continue my way to my office to see when I can meet Alpha Lark.
I dial his number and he basically picks up immediately.
"Hello?" Alpha Lark answers.
"Hello, Alpha Lark," I replied.
"Oh! Alpha Lertmen. What can I do for you?"
"I was wondering if I could come to your territory to meet up with you and your father."
"Why?" he asks sounding slightly confused.
"Oh, sorry. I found my mate and I want her to meet you," I say, hoping it's a good enough answer for him.
"That's great Logan, and that's fine. When would be a good time for you? I'm not busy tomorrow."
"Would tomorrow work for you?" I ask.
"Yes. That will be fine. And you said me and my father?" Alpha Lark asked.
