Adopted novel Chapter 35

The basketball team won their match yesterday with Theo leading them to victory having the last touchdown, after the match Theo dropped his jersey on my lap with a wink before walking out of the stadium to his room which caused lots of whispers from all students and anger from Lorenzo whom I attended the match with.

Speaking of Lorenzo, ever since the beginning of the week he's always with me holding my hand or placing his hand on my shoulder or lap when we are seated which according to Mila and Ava "he's staking his claim", even if I don't understand what they mean by that and they refuse to tell me am starting to feel comfortable in his company and it means a lot given my past experience with the opposite sex. He walks me to the car after every competition and drops a kiss on my cheek or forehead which am starting to like.

Today is the soccer team's final and according to Mils all students will be present because of Lorenzo, she also said something about 'The 5" when I asked her about them she seems excited to see them but all she could say was they are the school board of trustees. They come around once in a while to see how the students are faring and only the senior Elites are always invited to dine with them, I tried asking Lorenzo but he only placed a kiss on my hair with a smile on his face telling me not to worry my pretty head.

I am putting on a white Chanel skinny jean with a brown tank top and a Givenchy knee length silver jacket pairing my outfit with a brown Louis Vuitton leather boot, waiting for Rico's arrival I decide to play candy crush on my mobile. "Young master Moretti is here Diamond," Bella said pulling my attention away from my phone "how did he know my house?" I asked myself "he is Mr. Marshall's godson." She whispered with a thought you know look on her face which wasn't hiding her fear for Lorenzo perfectly.

I make my way to the sitting room to find him seated facing the kitchen entrance, making me feel conscious of my look and how am walking "good morning" I greeted with a little smile on my face, he walks towards me with a smirk on his face standing in front of me "how was your night bambina? he asked "it was nice" I responded immediately feeling giddy inside of me. "I came to give this and drive you to school" he placed a well folded cloth into my hand with an excited look on his face, I unfolded the cloth to find his jersey looking at him in confusion "I want you to put this on today for me" he answered my unasked question, "okay" I whispered making my way back to my room to change my outfit.

"Who are they?" I asked after taking our seat in a private section of the stadium, "your evil cousin Kim and her best friend Isabella" Mils replied in disgust which I only nod in understanding "don't let their words get to you, Lorenzo will have a chat with them after the match" Ava said pulling me into a hug. "The 5s are around" Mils said excitedly pointing to an extended glass window above the commentators' seat, the match started with Gabriel scoring the first goal and the cheer is heard around the stadium.

After the first 30minutes is over with our school leading with a goal, they rested for five minutes and the game continues with a player from our school team scoring another goal, with less than five minutes left for the game to be over Lorenzo scores another goal and the crowd goes wild while he jogs to where we are seated and points to me with a smile on his face. The match ends with our school winning with four goals to two putting all the students into jubilation with ribbons and balloons everywhere, in the midst of our jubilation I feel a hand on my shoulder making me look behind me to find bodyguards behind us, I tapped my friends in fear and gesture to our back with my hand "Sorry to scare you Miss Marshall, but you and your friends are called upon" the bodyguard who touched me said "by who?" Ava asked "the 5s" he responded.
