Adopted novel Chapter 51

Ever since Hazel has been missing, her mom has been crying nonstop my mom is with her trying to make her feel better but we all know the presence of her daughter is the only thing that can ever make her feel better. "Any positive response Justin," Lorenzo ask walking with the others behind him taking his seat beside me while the rest take theirs also all focused on me, I see Justin shake his head in response. "You have to eat Cole, you starving yourself won't help us find her and you need to be fine when she is found so you guys can have your moment," Lorenzo advises with a concerned look on his face "What is the latest update?" I inquired instead which was answered with a shake of his head, they are all as helpless as I am then.

The noise in the sitting room pulls all of us out of the kitchen including the ladies and mom from the room, we all walked towards the sitting room to see Syed with another man in a business suit with a frown on his face the gasp from Olivia makes me look at her to see tears flowing down her already swollen eyes with a look of recognition present, I walk towards a tired-looking Syed "tell me you found her Syed?" I requested he promised to find her since day one but he only responds with a shake of his head and I am starting to get angry with everyone shaking their head at me, was she kidnapped, or is she dead? If not, then why was it proving abortive finding her, "this is my elder brother Emran, he has been helping me with the search for Diamond." Syed introduces the man standing beside him who looks at me with tears dying to escape from his Hazel colored eyes while he looks at me with longing with me staring at him, our staring contest was interrupted by Olivia "Cole, how do you know Syed?" She asked looking at him with Syed and Emran wearing a smirk on their faces as if my response was going to shock her "he claims to be my uncle, I met him at the orphanage but I haven't made necessary findings" I tell her which only made her fall onto the fall with her hand over her mouth while she keeps saying "it's not possible" over again Liam kneels beside her pulling her into himself.

"I miss you guys and I am sorry for walking away," Olivia says looking at Emran and Syed who walked to her and pulls her into a hug making Liam leave them, Emran keeps placing kisses on her head while she cries "I couldn't handle it the way you guys could that why I left, I am very sorry for leaving," She says sobbing heavily. What does she mean by she left them and who are they to her, "It's fine now Sorella" Emran said to her using his thumbs to clean her tears while he looks at her with a smile on his face, "you've grown to be a cute man adelfòs" Olivia said to a grinning Syed pulling his cheeks with both hands. I look around to see everyone looking at them in confusion and I couldn't help to look beyond what everyone was seeing, it seems like a sibling's reunion and I am surprised to see Olivia with siblings it's certain I am not the only surprised one except Liam who was looking at his wife with a smile.

"I am sorry for cutting the reunion short but how are you guys related and Diamond is still not found," I interrupted their bonding time with the hope of getting a better explanation of the situation. "Let's all have our seat, I am sure Liba will explain everything to all of you," Emran said picking Olivia up and moves her to the three-seater with Syed sitting beside her also, "Who is Liba?" Lorenzo asked also taking his seat beside me on the double-seater while Justin sits on the edge of the sofa with the rest either remaining standing, take their seat on the floor or the kitchen stool which has found their way into the sitting room.

"I am Liba," Olivia started, "My name is Liba Olivia Asher, I was born and brought up in Qatar with my elder brother Emran, twin sister Hiba, my younger brother Syed and my papa who is the king of my country. We lost mom after Syed birth so I brought him up, although we are from an Islamic country papa made us learn about different cultures, visit different countries and we were allowed to make our path, Papa made sure we get everything and anything we ever wanted he is the best even when Hiba was a pain in his butt. My twin Hiba was the opposite of obedient and truthful, she was wayward and she takes drastic steps but she had a low tolerance for pain so when she did anything wrong that papa was going to reprimand her for that I had to step up for her instead because we were identical we could fool papa easily but not our siblings because we grew up together when papa was out ruling the country Emran is busy watching after us so he was like our stand-in dad. She goes around with guys, leaves the palace to attend night parties and she comes back to tell me about it, she was my best friend we tell each other everything and the bond alone was enough to make me die for her in a blink of an eye" she started.

"Things were going fine until she suggested we visit New York for a two weeks' vacation before school resumes, we were about to be seniors in high school and it was a perfect way to prepare for that, so we told papa about it and he allowed us. We made our trip to New York the next day with our security details, we stayed in a five-star hotel and Emran calls to make sure we were fine, Hiba goes out every night to party while I stay indoors either reading or watching movies while I make excuses for her anytime papa or Emran called to check upon us. Day four in New York Hiba drags me along with her to the club saying I should let loose and I did, we had fun dancing until a guy joined us he was dancing with me and I was getting uncomfortable with the way he was touching me so I walked away from the dance floor to get bottled water leaving him with Hiba but he followed me making Hiba angry, we got talking and he apologized for making me uncomfortable and we became friends." She continues reminiscing old times with tears flowing from her eyes making Liam kneel in front of her to hold her hand while Emran cleans her tears with his long fingers. "I and the guy became close, he lodged in the same hotel as us and his room was just two doors away from ours he was a college student who also came to New York for vacation, he's always coming to visit us in our room and we also go to his room to visit us but he was always around me but four days to the end of our vacation Hiba went to visit him only to come back to the room angry and I asked her why she was angry and she started shouting at me saying she wanted him that I should back away, I knew what she meant that wasn't the first time she tells me to leave a certain guy for her and I did but I was starting to like the guy which I found painful to leave him to her like always so I told her I will talk to him." She smiles looking at her husband who also smiled back at her.
