Adopted novel Chapter 73

We arrived at the hospital with the paparazzi and heavy securities everywhere stopping them from entering the hospital, a body guard opened the car door for us with over eight guarding us towards the entrance and we entered I noticed the hospital belonged to Dr. Brooke upon seeing us the nurses at the reception greeted us with their heads bow "where is she?" dad asked them "she is in the private ward sir," one of them responded to him pointing towards where the private ward was located. We made our way to the ward to find Dr. Brooke speaking with mom sighting us he stopped talking "how are you Ameer?" Dr. Brooke asked me as he looked at me up and down and I knew he was trying to see if I wasn't injured as well "I am fine sir," I replied to him "how is she Richard?" dad asked him after greeting mom "I was about explaining to Olivia when you arrived, she is fine after giving her three pint of blood and she is currently on her fourth, I gave her six stitches per cut she had seven cuts per arm which wasn't too deep thankfully and it didn't affect any veins," he started "she is presently unconscious but she will be up in no time and please feel free to use my own legal team also because I have a bone to pick with those that made her do this to herself." He concluded "thank you Richard, can we go see her now?" Dad asked him and he nodded in response as he led us into her room.

She is wrapped in a blanket which Dr. Brooke said was to regulate her temperature, two different needles connected to her hands one infusing blood and the other infusing drip water, mom and the girls made their way to her bed immediately holding her hands carefully as we all watched her and pray, she opens her eyes quickly.

{LIAM'S MARSHALL'S}

I watched my daughter lay pale in the arms of my son and my wife picking her from him, I watched the medical team collect her from her mom and pushed out of the bathroom with her puddle of blood left behind and my crushed son who seems broken by what he just witnessed, I know I am seen to be ruthless and merciless by everyone but with my kids I am as soft as cotton candy, I love and cherish them more than anything in this world and no matter how much I am worth they are still my most priced possession. Most people thinks if they cross me business wise then that's when I will react but they got it all wrong, Mia who slapped my daughter is still in jail for assault and she will be for 3 years and once those that raped her are found they will wish they were not born but I don't think people are getting the memo of our important my kids are to me and I will do well to let them know when I use the bullies of her school as an example.

I left my family in the hospital after getting a call from my chief security team about the arrival of the legal team and they were placed in the hotel, the following morning I went to the hospital to visit my family after I was told Diamond has opened her eyes this morning and her blood level was perfect so she is off the blood transfusion. After dressing up in a three-piece black Armani suit with a white shirt underneath, I paired it up with a black Italian dress, black tie and a diamond encrusted Rolex on my wrist picked up my mobile phone walked out of the house to meet my security team waiting with the SUV door opened I entered, "where to Mr. Marshall?" the driver asked "the hospital, my daughter is awake," I responded with a small smile on my lips and he zoomed off to the hospital direction.

Getting to the private room Ameerah was kept, I opened the door and entered the room she was laying in bed with only the blood bag gone leaving the drip bag which looked new, Ameer and Justin sat on the single sofas placed beside the bed with their head resting on the bed while the girls and Olivia are seated on the three-seater and bean bag placed at the other end of the room. My entrance brought everyone of them out of their worlds looking at me, Olivia smiled painfully at me while the rest whispered their greetings trying not to wake Diamond who seems to be asleep, I walked to the bed took my stand beside the sofa Ameer was occupying I placed my hand on his shoulder and he placed his on it "how is she doing?" I asked him quietly "she is coming around but she thinks we are mad at her for cutting herself," he replied as he laced his hand with hers that is placed on the bed "we can never be mad at her, she needs our help and love and that is what she will get." I told him sincerely and I bent down placed a kiss on Diamond's forehead and did the same to Ameer before making my way to their mom.

I stopped in my step to where the girls and Olivia are seated when I heard the door open and footsteps rushed in "how is she?" a panicked Lorenzo asked looking around with the boys behind him and I was surprised to see my friends and their wives also who are looked worried making the once quiet room noisy and it brought a smile on my face, seeing her on the bed they all rushed to her bedside looking at her and throwing questions at Richard concerning her wellbeing who was giving them answers after that they acknowledged their kids as I watched them interact I am grateful for my circle of friends even when we are all busy in our different sectors we always make time for one and other and for family. "You weren't thinking you will be suing them alone, were you?" Arnold asked stepping close to me with Dante beside him "why will he think so?" Luca inquired joining I and Arnold who shrugged in response, "he wouldn't dare, she is my god daughter so I have a say in anything that concerns her," Richard said to them also joining us along with Gio "and my son's girlfriend." Gio inputs making Luca look at him "if Theo was faster, he would have been the one but it's a good thing she is still within." He replied to him which made Gio smirk at me and the rest laugh at their playful banter.
