“There’s so much to tell you,” I sniff. “But first, you need to know that Sadie fell into some kind of coma. I’ve tried waking her up, but nothing works.”

“I know,” Beth says simply.

I freeze.

“You… know?”

“Yes.”

What the actual hell?

“How could you possibly know that?” I demand. “You’ve been missing for months.”

“That isn’t important,” she says with a gentle smile. “And you shouldn’t worry. She’s already awake.”

For a moment, I just stare at her. Has she lost her mind? I left Sadie’s room minutes ago. There’s no way—

I’m about to argue when one of the omegas comes rushing toward us, breathless.

“Luna Sadie has woken up,” she blurts out excitedly.

My head snaps toward Beth.

She only smiles. “Told you.”

I don’t waste another second. I grab Beth by the hand and pull her with me toward the packhouse. By the time we reach Sadie’s room, it’s already crowded—Alec, King, Micah, and Jason.

Alec is sitting on the bed, clutching Sadie’s hand like he’s afraid she’ll disappear again.

“Are you really okay?” he asks, his voice tight.

“I am,” Sadie says softly, smiling. “Nyx is back. And I have all my memories now.”

We all exchange confused looks. What memories? Sadie has never lost her memory. Not once.

“What memories?” Alec asks, his brows furrowing.

Sadie lifts her head and then detonates the room.

“Hello, Mother.”

Fuck... My gaze flies between Sadie and Beth. They’re smiling at each other as if they haven’t just shattered reality.

“Mother?” I choke out.

“What the fuck is going on?” Jason demands.

Beth steps forward and slowly sits on the edge of the bed, opposite Alec.

“Moon Goddess,” Piper whispers.

She drops to her knees instantly, bowing in reverence.

“Moon Goddess?” Jason echoes, eyes blown wide. “You’re saying she’s—”

“I’ve seen her depicted in ancient texts,” Piper breathes, still kneeling. “I never thought I’d meet her… not unless I was dead.”

That does it. One by one, everyone else falls to their knees, bowing before the goddess they’ve worshipped their entire lives.

“Rise, my children,” Mother says gently.

They obey, still visibly shaken, still struggling to comprehend that they’re standing in the presence of divinity.

“You mean to tell me,” I whisper hoarsely, “that I’ve spent years with a goddess and I never even knew?”

She chuckles softly. “I couldn’t tell you. Knowing who I truly was would have painted a target on your back. Xena has hunted me since the War in Heaven, since the day I imprisoned Kaden.”

Alec moves closer, sitting beside me on the bed, confusion etched across his face.

“I don’t understand, moon goddess,” he says slowly. “Is Nyx your daughter because you're the mother of all wolves or because you're her biological mother?”

Mother turns to him, her gaze calm and ancient. “You may call me Selene, Alec... And Nyx is my biological daughter.”
