Avoiding The Gang Leader novel Chapter 7

I opened my door to my apartment and entered. I sat down on my couch, looked up at the ceiling and sighed happily.

"Had fun?"

I screamed and fell off the couch rolling to the coffee table. I stayed where I was scared for my life. I grit my teeth and stood angrily when I recognized the voice

"What the fuck Leo!?"

Leo was standing behind the couch facing me with his hands in his hoodie pocket and a deadly look on his face

"You can't go out with him again"

"Why not?"I cross my arms and pout

"Because i said so!"He raised his voice causing me to jump back in fear

"You're mine did you forget that already?"Leo ask talking slow steps towards me

"I don't belong to you . "I whispered

"Micah. "Leo chuckled. Once he was in front of me he slowly wrapped his hand around my neck 

"I'm not scared of you Leo. "I dared I think he could see right through me that I was lying. Even though I like him Leo is capable of doing 'things' that would leave me with nightmares.

Leo smiled and moved his hand to my cheek. He rub circles with his thumb which was actually pretty soothing. As soon as I close my eyes ready to enjoy the little gesture.

Gunshots

I latched onto Leo immediately and hid my face in his chest as he held me close and tight

"Hey its okay. " 

He move towards my bedroom as the shots continued

Even though they didn't sound near I was still scared. Scared that something bad was happening and people could get hurt and to add to it Leo put me in bed and turn to leave.

"Where the hell are you going?"

"I have to go. "He came back and kiss my cheek

"You're safe Micah."

He exited my room and lock door on his way. I heard the front door lock and a car speeding down the street a minute after

What the hell is happening.

I close my eyes and tried to go to sleep but It was hard. Soon after the gunshots stop but police sirens and screaming started and Leo was on my mind. I was worried about him. I was going crazy.

Eventually I fell asleep through all of it hoping he's okay.

Seven people died last night in the shooting. Six male and a female. As far as I know one was from Leo's gang and the others was from a gang by the south

I haven't seen Leo since last night and I'm worried he's either locked up or hurt. I didn't learn a thing today in class all the students were talking about the shooting and it made me worry more because I heard a lot of different stories some included Leo in them.

Anthony texted me asking if I can meet up for dinner and agreed since I'm leaving work early today and I'm not cooking.

I asked 

"Don't think about that."

"I'm meeting Anthony in half an hour. "I said. I had to get it out because I know Leo was here for a reason and I had to leave soon

"He's not gonna show."

"What do you mean?"I asked confused. He just shrugged and I stepped back from him

I narrowed my eyes at him"What the hell did you do?"

"I dont know what you're talking about. "He said smirking

"Yes you do,Anthony was suppose to meet me  instead you show up if you hurt him I swear to God-"

"Shut up your boyfriend is fine,just not coming."

"He's not my boyfriend. "I defended

"Right."

"Where is he?"

"I don't know you'd have to ask my boys."

"Don't hurt him. "I Plead. Leo glare at me obviously no liking that I was worried about Anthony 

"He's fine Micah I just wanted to be with you."
