His blood covered hand ran across my cheek as we continued to kiss, my fear of darkness? Gone, completely. My foolish heart falling from the dominant man in front of me? Check.

We heart the sound of electronics being turned off again, but I didn't want to stop kissing him. His lips were the heroin that I needed a hit of.

His lips were gone just like the heat from his closeness. His eyes looked red, tired. His stare was still on me as I looked at him back. His eyes showed no emotions whatsoever, after that kiss... nothing?

"Get out," his voice left no room for discussion. Even though this was my apartment, my bathroom, my tub, he said 'get out'? I cough in disbelief.

"You really don't feel nothing in there, do you?" I couldn't help but say what was on my mind at this moment. Even though it was suicidal knowing the guy in front of me could kill.

"You really like minding people's business, don't you?" He snapped back aggressively passive. He made no movements. I pulled my hand away from his stomach, the movement caused him to groan a little.

My heart clenched at his response but I decided to ignore it. I should never be with a guy like him, so cold, so heartless.

"Why did you kiss me just now?"

He banged his head against the wall behind him and closed his eyes. It gave me a perfect view of the tattoo that peeked under his white shirt. It covered his whole neck and even went up to the sides of his head.

This man did not fear pain?

"To shut you the fuck up, do you really think that I want to hear you nag just because you what? Are afraid of the dark? No, sweetheart." He answered calmly. Which added fuel to my fire. I crunched my teeth and they turned into dust.

I raised my hand and his head turned to the side. I felt the tingling sensation of the smash on my fingertips. Damn his fucking jaw.

His once closed eyes snapped open in anger, I saw him fist his other hand tightly. "Oh my bad, I just thought that since you liked others in pain I thought that I would return the favor. And trash the towel once you're done with it, will you?"

"What the fuck is wrong with you, woman?"

"Angelica is fucking Angelica." I flashed out of the bathroom and slammed the door closed behind me.

"Fucking idiot," tears dripped down now. I hate it, I hate this feeling, I hate crying. I hate everything about it. Why am I even reacting like this?

Why should I cry because of a guy that barely knows me?

I ran to my room, not wanting him to catch up to me and maybe give him the chance to beat me to death. I made sure to lock the door before I crouched down in front of it. Palming my face with both hands I become a baby and let myself cry silently.

Fucking asshole. Fucking prick. Fucking everything!

After minutes of me handling myself, I finally become stable again. I can't believe how fragile my heart actually is. My father saw me he would laugh after my brother died, my dad treated me like a son.

Always tough on me, my mom never got in the way because she was always in her room. But then at night, she would tell me fairy stories about Los Reyes Magos(Three Kings), El Nacimiento de Jesus(The Birth of Jesus), and other tales like that.

I wish she was here with me right now, to read me one of her tales. One of our family, or anything.

A bang was heard from the bathroom, I heard him groan again.

No, I won't go. Veronica would be here soon. She will take care of him, he doesn't need me. In fact, he doesn't need anyone to help him. His ego was way too big--

Another bang, this time I heard him yell in Russian.

I didn't even notice myself opening the door, I noticed when I was already down the hall approaching the bathroom. As I turn, I saw Veronica about to open the bathroom's door. She didn't see me.

I see her holding a black bag, the first aid kit.

She opened the door and entered, leaving the door open. I approach the door and peeked inside.

I wish I hadn't. I really, really wish I hadn't.

Baby stood in front of the tiled wall, his knuckles were bloody and his hand was shaking, the other one was holding onto his wound.
