I looked back up at his mother and held up 5 fingers.

"5 years?" She asked. I nodded my head and began fiddling with my fingers.

"By choice?" She asked. I nodded in reply.

She then nodded to herself and began thinking.

"Son do you mind if I have a word with you?" She asked as she stared back and forth between us.

I hopped off of Noah's lap and began walking out of the room.

"Wait, Rosiane, where are you going?" He asked as I was about to leave. I pointed to a nearby bookshelf and looked back at him.

"Library?" He asked. I nodded and smiled then proceeded on my way.

I thought it would be rude to eavesdrop so I tried to leave as quickly as I could.

I headed to the lower level of the house and entered the large library that Noah showed me the other day.

There was a large fireplace to the side with a set of chairs surrounding it.

I headed towards the part of the library where the historical books would be and looked around.

I found one about different legends and supernatural creatures and took it back to the chairs in front of the lit fireplace.

After finding a comfortable spot on the chair I began reading the book.

I was so engrossed in the book that I didn't sense anyone entering the library until suddenly the doors shut loudly causing me to jump and drop my book on the floor.

"Sorry sorry, I didn't mean to slam them" Noah apologised when he entered my view. I just smiled at him and picked up my book, continuing from where I left off.

I saw him sit down in front of me from the corner of my eyes and felt his gaze on me. I couldn't focus on the book and kept reading the same line over and over before I slammed it closed frustratingly and glared at Noah who was still staring.

"What's the matter sweetheart?" He asked innocently but was trying to keep the smile from forming on his lips.

I just continued glaring until he finally let a big, cheeky grin spread on his lips.

"You look adorable when you read by the way" he winked and picked up the book I was reading.

A blush slowly crept up along my cheeks and I dipped my head trying to conceal it.

"Don't bother hiding it, I've already seen it" he stated as he looked through the book.

I huffed and crossed my arms across my chest and continued glaring at him.

"This book is actually quite interesting" he announced after a few minutes of reading.

The room was empty when I stepped out so I quickly grabbed a jacket and shoes then slipped them on.

I left my hair down and brushed my teeth then skipped downstairs and into the kitchen.

There was a plate of freshly cooked waffles with a note, saying my name, beside it.

I guessed they were for me so I began eating.

There was no sign of Charlotte or Noah when I finished so I decided to go check his office.

I washed my plate and traveled slowly upstairs, listening for any sign of them. I heard mumbling on the opposite side of Noah's office door so I knocked quietly and suddenly the talking stopped.

I waited a few seconds before entering and I saw Noah sitting behind his desk looking worried and Charlotte and Luke sitting in front of him with the same facial expressions.

When they saw me they quickly replaced their worried expressions with a smile and went to stand up.

"You ready Rosiane?" Noah asked, smiling tightly. I looked at them all, frowning, with curiosity in my eyes.

I know they knew what I was waiting for but they didn't say anything.

I crossed my hands over my chest and raised an eyebrow as I looked between them all.

Charlotte was the first who cracked then Luke. We all look expectantly at Noah, waiting for him to explain.
